Purple Heart Day in Fresno at the American Legion Post 509 with lunch and presentations. The Girl Scout Safari Troup 4038 helped set up. Attending were Fresno Vet Center, MOPH Fresno Chapter 106 and Folsom members of
MOPHA Unit 385 that live in Fresno. Thank you Lydia Lowe and Maxine DeLaPena. Also are MOPHA members- at-Large, Jenny Cantu and Lydia Ochoa.

Attended Memorial Day ceremony at the Pioneer Cemetery. Ceremony put on by American Legion Post 108. Taps played, gun salute performed, National Anthem and flag folding by the Boy Scouts. American Legion provided lunch after the ceremony. Thank you Post 108 for doing this every year.

Unit 385 attended the Placer stand down at The Grounds in Roseville yesterday.
Despite cloudy weather it was a good turn out. Lunch was provided by Thunder Valley Casino. We gave out 47 snack bags containing chicken salad kits, fruit cups,cheese & crackers, granola bars, cookies, and lemonade mix packets. We also gave out a few of our laundry bags and detergent, playing cards. Also Sees Candy that was donated. A couple more stand downs coming up in the fall. Always meet a lot of nice veterans!
