✔ Focus on least-cost solutions and long-term value for customers
✔ 12 reconductoring projects that increase transmission capacity without having to build new transmission from scratch
✔ Supports renewable energy development: 45 GW solar, 8 GW wind, 2 GW geothermal, 10 GW imported wind energy, and 4.5 GW offshore wind

Yesterday, Elliot Mainzer shared his insights during the Committee on Regional Electric Power Coordination (CREPC) afternoon panel on Major Milestones for Western Markets, speaking to regulators, state energy directors, and other stakeholders from across the West.

He highlighted progress on the Extended Day-Ahead Market, Western Energy Imbalance Market, resource adequacy, and transmission planning. “The electrical connectivity and resource diversity we built together is priceless,” Mainzer said, reinforcing the importance of delivering reliable, affordable and efficient energy solutions across the West.
