The National Exchange Club is the oldest service organization exclusively in the United States. Exchange’s Core Values are family, community, and country. Members support activities that benefit youth, promote pride in our country, and honor military and public service providers, to name a few. Exchange’s National Project is the prevention of child abuse.

Here's something Exchange members have known for over a century, and science keeps confirming: service is good for you.

Research links regular volunteering to lower rates of depression and anxiety, a stronger sense of purpose, and even a longer life. One review found volunteers had a meaningfully lower risk of mortality than non-volunteers. And the benefits run deepest for people who serve simply to help others.

We don't show up for the health benefits. But it turns out that giving back gives back.
