Hello Folly Beach Seniors Club peeps!

Our next meeting is Thursday June 4th, 11AM, at the Community Center.
The club is providing fried chicken and sandwiches – so bring a friend and a side or dessert to share!

Our speaker is Kelly Ayers with the SC250 Commission who will share some of the exciting things planned for our area honoring our Revolutionary Heritage.

Charleston and The Lowcountry played a pivotal role in our Revolutionary history for years before the official beginning of the war - and after the Signing of the Declaration of Independence - with the Battle of Sullivans Island on June 28, 1776 through the British occupation from 1780-1782, our own Charleston Tea Party, and various skirmishes, engagements and other strategic operations throughout the 8 years of the war.

After our meeting on June 4th, the city is hosting our annual Family fun Night with grilling, DJ and games at the Folly River Park from 5-7PM. Let's all come out and enjoy Summer Fun in our community!

Civic Club Meeting!

Greetings Civic Club Members! We are looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday, May 19 at 7pm in the Community Center. Our speaker, is Jason Teal, Folly resident and local captain for the Charleston Branch of the Harbor Pilots Association. This group has been responsible for the safe navigation of commercial shipping vessels of all tonnage entering and leaving the Port of Charleston since 1890. Please join us for what is sure to be an interesting conversation giving us a peek into his mariner workday on the water.

Civic Club member, Dennis Ashley will have his delicious wine and there are sure to be tasty snacks. Also, keep in mind, if you need to pick up a Welcome Packet for a new resident. We will have some ready to go!

This will be our last meeting before we break for Summer, we hope you will join us and bring a friend!

Folly Beach Seniors Club meeting is next Thursday, May 7th!!

Everyone is welcome to join our 55 and older community group.
No fee, no commitment.
Just a friendly, welcoming attitude to join in and get to know your community members.
We meet monthly and always welcome new members.

The May Folly Beach Senior Citizens meeting will be May 7th at 11 AM in the Community Center.

Our guest speaker will be Janet Peck from the Charleston Area Bee Keeper Association.
Spring time is the perfect time to make sure our bee population is healthy and thriving.

The club will provide the main dish - pulled pork BBQ. so bring a side dish and a friend and plan to join us for our May meeting!.
