These precious kitties are still looking for their furever homes! The girls are fixed, vaxed, dewormed, flea, tick & earmite free, socialized & litter trained. Currently around 5 months old. PM me to apply or with any questions.

Sissy: This pretty little sweetie is a happy girl that sleeps right next to her foster mom. She loves to play with her toys, especially loves stealing them from her siblings, loves hide & seek & looking out the window to watch birds.

Laverne: She’s a curious little nib nose, always in everyone’s business, has to be part of the action. She’s super playful & carries her toys around, she loves love & being near her human, will follow you wherever you go! Who doesn’t love a Velcro kitty?!

Oreo is a 6 month old playful guy also in need of a new furever home. His mom passed away recently & no one in the family can take him. He needs vetting but the family is willing to help with that.

Friends, you remember Louie who I posted about last week? Ironically he supposedly found a home the same day his mom passed away. Well, we were mislead & the “adopter” took him to the Hancock County Animal Shelter. Thankfully he is getting the skin treatments he so desperately needed & will be vaccinated & neutered soon. However, look at his face, he is scared & confused, his whole world was turned upside down. A shelter worker said he would do much better in a home. If anyone can FOSTER or ADOPT this sweet soul please contact the Hancock county animal shelter. & PLEASE SHARE! I know there is a loving home out there for him somewhere!

Edit: we were lead to believe he was being adopted but they took him to Hancock County Shelter. ☹️ Someone please go adopt him!!

Louie is a sweet laid back guy with a sad story. His mom is in hospice & only has a few more days to live so she is unable to care for him. No one in the family can take him so he needs to find a new home quickly. He has a wonderful caretaker coming to look after & feed him 2x per day but he is so lonely & desperately needing some TLC. His mom’s landlord is taking him to the vet to get vaccinated & to get his skin condition taken care of & we should know more about his health after that. He is currently not neutered but will need to be & I personally am willing to help with that. We estimate him to be about 25-30 lbs & approximately 8 years old. He had a chihuahua sibling in the past so will probably be just fine with other dogs. He does really well off leash & has a kind & gentle spirit. This adorable little guy is in search of a forever home! He is a papillon/chihuahua mix, 3 years old, 10 lbs. He is currently not neutered but has an appointment to be in the near future. His family split up & is no longer able to care for him. He’s very sweet, loves people - he follows his foster mom everywhere. Seems to be dog friendly, likes cats & just wants to play, likes kids, he’s very friendly & loving! He loves car rides, he’s very smart & already house broken. He’s pretty much the perfect addition to any family!!

To everyone that has been concerned about this beautiful sweet girl, she went to a loving new home today! She will never be chained to a tree again. The Brooke County Dog Warden, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney & County Commission were instrumental in helping save her & so were all the original post shares, we reached a lot of people!! So much gratitude to everyone!! Happy Tails Nova!! 🐾🩵

A heat wave is coming!! Please be mindful & watchful of any animal left outdoors, particularly ones that are tethered or left in vehicles. It is considered animal cruelty by the state of WV for an animal to not have shade or access to clean fresh water or to be left in a vehicle in hot weather.

If you see an animal in a hot vehicle call 911 immediately, in hot temps it can take as little as 5-15 minutes for a dog to die of heatstroke. If you see an animal left outside without shade or water call the Brooke County Animal Shelter during regular business hours 304-394-0800 or non-emergency dispatch after hours 304-737-3660 press 1.
