How We Got This Idea.
In July of 2017, my husband and I were delivering kayaks down Fort Morgan, Road in Alabama. We had 3 single kayaks to drop off for a two day rental and had to drive 45 min from our home to get them delivered. Anyone who knows our area will understand why it took so long to make it to the drop off point.... Fort Morgan Road is 22 miles long and some of our customers need their kayaks delivered near the END of the road. When we arrived at our drop off location, my husband was surprised to see that the beach house next door had EXACTLY what our customers were needing... 3 kayaks, 3 lifejackets, and 3 Paddles. So, we started talking about how cool it would be if we could have a business that connected these visitors that were renting our kayaks to the neighbors that had exactly what they needed.
So now here are... we have pondered on this for nearly 2 years, gained clarity to the business side of this idea, gotten together with a web designer to get our idea on the web, and now we are launched and are Promoting our new business, Mandi-Jo’s Lend & Borrow.
We want to offer everyone a way to make money off the things they own and save money by renting from locals and not having to go buy every single thing they need. Peer to Peer Renting is a new concept that is gaining ground..... Other places are doing this but so far nothing local to the Baldwin County area. Places like, Sydney, Australia.... The United Kingdom... Ontario, Canada... and the East Coast of the US.
We are optimistic about this concept and it will be beneficial to everyone whether the economy in our country is GREAT or not so great. Everyone is down for saving money... and everyone is down for making money... lets do this together on Mandi-jos.com
