🚀 EPIC: Starting & Growing a Business!

Our second EPIC meeting focused on what it takes to start a business and grow it into something bigger!

A special thank-you to Kaleb Beauchamp, student and owner of Mashed Potato Productions, for sharing his entrepreneurial journey with fellow students. We also appreciate Scott Harrison of Printing Pros for sharing how he built his business and expanded it into what it is today.

We love seeing students learn from local entrepreneurs and discover what’s possible when they turn their ideas into action! 💡👏

🚀 Two weeks in, and EPIC is already off to a BANG!

Our EPIC students have been busy getting connected, learning, and stepping outside their comfort zones!

At our first meeting, students had the opportunity to meet some of our amazing EPIC sponsors, committee members, and mentors. They also got an introduction to the curriculum provided by Coastal Alabama Community College and learned how they’ll be using it throughout the program.

Yesterday, we took EPIC on the road to the Coastal Alabama Business Expo! 🎉 Students hit the floor, introduced themselves to local business owners and employees, asked questions, and gained valuable insight into a variety of careers and businesses in our community.

From meeting mentors to making connections in the business community, these students are already putting EPIC into action. We can't wait to see where the next few months take them! 💙

🚀 Big ideas. Real businesses. BIG impact.

We’re so proud to see the results of the EPIC Student Program in action! From building business skills and confidence to launching businesses that are making an impact right here in Baldwin County, EPIC is helping the next generation turn their ideas into something real.

One incredible example? EPIC graduate Allison Niamesto launched Three Sisters Cleaning LLC after completing the program, and is already serving 18 recurring clients across five Baldwin County cities! 🙌

And here’s the best part: every student business launched through EPIC is still in operation today.💙

On the same day that Gulf Shores celebrated the opening of its new high school, Tara McMeans addressed the city council about an EPIC program which helps students navigate business skills outside of the schools.

Applications are now open for EP!C (Entrepreneur Program Impacting Communities), a hands-on program designed for middle and high school students who are curious about starting a business, solving problems, and learning what it takes to become an entrepreneur.

Throughout the school year, students will:
✨ Meet once a month with local business leaders
💼 Learn how to turn ideas into real businesses
🤝 Build leadership, confidence, and networking skills
🚀 Develop entrepreneurial thinking that will benefit them for years to come

Whether your student already has a business idea or is simply interested in learning more about entrepreneurship, EP!C is the perfect place to start!
