Great turn out Saturday. If you missed it, we missed you. Aaliyah L. Was our winner. Because of the large turnout the prize was a $35 gift card. Si much fun to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Thanks to all. See you in June to hunt some ducks!

All of the special people that have left this plane ahead of me. Family, friends and especially Chemo Kids. NOV 1 is Dia de los Mu***os, the day of the dead. A Mexican holiday that celebrates the lives of important people who have died. Working with cancer kids through Horses For Hope, has added many names to that list of those who's life's deserve to be celebrated. We knew what we were signing up for when we created HFH. It isn't always easy and it isn't always fun. Sometimes kids don't beat their
cancer, whether they do or not they are all heroes in my eyes. Heroes of mine for many reasons, but a big one is that they come face to face with death and with the fact that death may come earlier than anyone wants changes these kids. They become stronger and sometime a little scary. They are or will be facing something that scares us all, pain and possibly death. Pain makes them tough and brave. On going treatment makes them persistent and stubborn. They are amazing, and I am proud to have l known each and every one of them. So I ask you to please join me in celebrating and remembering the memories of all of those we have lost, whenever that was. Dia de los Mu***os is the day of the dead and that day is today.

So it did finally rain for the Halloween Ride yesterday about 14 drops at 2pm and then during the clean up about 5pm for about 10 minutes very lightly. We got the horses home before but got poured on getting home from the barn. So glad that downpour held off. Light attendance for the Halloween Ride, but a fun bunch none the less. Sunny and warm. Alison and Cherri got the most complete fox puzzles and were our winners. Not many costumes but our favorite was a painter on a paint horse thanks Kandie and Loki. Linda spent many hours making chicken with rice soup, delicious! That is a wrap on benefit rides this year. Thanks to each and everyone of you
See you all in the spring.
