Thank you to EVERYONE who has volunteered to help with prom in any capacity. It was my intention to contact you all individually, but I’ll be very honest ..... I’m exhausted and my head is spinning.

So..... here is the announcement of details...

SATURDAY NIGHT HELPERS, please meet at Flushing Valley Golf Club at 7pm under the tent. We’ll need help setting up, inflating balloons, staging, etc.

SUNDAY EVENING HELPERS we need you to report to the FVGC tent at 5PM if you are volunteering and chaperoning DURING prom.

POST PROM VOLUNTEERS - we need you to report to the tent for tear down and clean up at 930.

Again I’m sorry there isn’t an individual email or phone call. Please know I’m trying my best- this week is extremely hectic!

MAJOR PROM UPDATE!!!

Due to the change in covid restrictions and guidelines, Michigan restaurants and banquet centers are now able to have 50% capacity.

That being said, Flushing Valley Golf Club, Sports Bar and Banquet Center has graciously offered to move the prom INDOORS!

Prom will include the following:

Red Carpet arrival, beginning at 6pm. When students arrive, they will complete check in and prom court voting. At that point they will be able to walk the red carpet (if they choose) and enter the prom. Parents are welcome to attend the red carpet entrance for photo ops.
The red carpet will also be streaming a facebook live video for anyone who would like to watch it on this Prom page.

Once inside, prom goers will be able to enjoy a photo booth and props, as well as professional portraits from Moments to Remember Photography.

Tickets include hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and a very well stocked dessert bar.

The DJ will be on hand for dancing beginning at 6:30, when the red carpet announcements and arrivals are complete.

Prom Court ceremony will take place at 9:30pm. After crowing ceremonies, prom will conclude and guests are welcome to leave.

We ask that any students who have not received their vaccine to please wear a mask. Masks may be removed outside, and when seated and eating. Masks will NOT be required during professional photos or on the red carpet.

Beginning Tuesday, most restrictions on outdoor events are ending and restrictions are loosening for indoor events.

Congratulations to all the Prom Court nominees. I will reach out to the students or their parents to make sure they are aware.

VOTING for King and Queen will take place during check in at prom.

The Kind and Queen will be announced at 9:30pm on prom night.
