Some things are worth celebrating. ❤️

For years, our annual Gala has brought together the people who believe in the power of Catholic youth ministry—youth ministers, pastors, parish leaders, families, volunteers, longtime supporters, and friends from across the deanery.

We've shared meals, heard stories, raised a few dollars, and celebrated the incredible things God is doing through our parishes and young people.

Gather & Give carries the same mission into a new kind of evening—with dinner, comedy, stories, and plenty of time to enjoy being together.

For many years, the the New Albany deanery has called Mt. St. Francis home for senior retreats! In honor of the retreat center’s anniversary, our neighbors are hosting a fun day to celebrate and reminisce about senior retreats gone by!

Come by to wander the trails, check out the retreat center, attend Mass and more! A special guest speaker and current deanery youth minister, Evan Wise, will be one of the witnesses! A great day for all!

Made up of local young adult Catholics from Southern Indiana and Louisville, the Sour Faced Saints create hilarious, family-friendly comedy completely on the spot, using suggestions from the audience. Luke grew up in the deanery, and now we're thrilled to welcome him as this year's opening act at Gather & Give!

Today, Luke and his young family are parishioners at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. His story is a beautiful reminder that the seeds planted in youth ministry continue to bear fruit for years to come.

Thank You, God, for the incredible young men and women in this photo. It has been a joy to witness their generosity, compassion, and willingness to serve others in with joyful hearts.

As they return home, may the love of Jesus continue to guide them, may the spirit of service remain part of their daily lives, and may they always look for opportunities to be His hands and feet in the world.

Thank You to everyone who prayed for us, supported us, and made this week possible. What a blessing it has been!

If you've ever experienced a mission trip, you know that Wednesday is often the most challenging day. The days get longer. The work can start to feel monotonous. Your new friends are no longer quite as "new," and your thoughts may drift to questions like, "Will we finish this project too early?" or "Will we get it done at all?"

But Wednesday also holds a special place during the week. It's the day we begin to shift our focus from volunteering to discipleship.

One of our speakers said it best: "I once thought on a mission trip, if I wanted to pull weeds or sort clothes, I could have done that at home. Then I realized—that's the point! I'm not supposed to leave serving others to just one week a year."

What a powerful reminder that our call to serve doesn't end when mission week does. The habits of generosity, compassion, and love we practice here are meant to continue long after we return home through simple acts and sacrifices. Our prayer and our discussions have turned towards what comes next.
