Community Educational Resource Coalition The Community Educational Resource Coalition (CERC) is an organization born in Floyd, VA, in 1983. This intent has taken many forms over the years.

CERC fosters holistic development of Floyd by supporting organizations and initiatives which promote growth through scientific and educational activities. The CERC’s purpose has been to network our human resources as a basis of education and community building. Fundamental to this goal has been the desire to nurture new perspectives, open source sharing of information and ideas and the willingness

to support eachother’s dreams. We recognize that a living community is not a static entity but ever changing, yet mutually interdependent–the well-being of one affects the well being of all. We believe we are all standing at a very exciting moment in history…what might we do now?!! Over the years CERC has seeded and supported many creative ideas. Many of these ideas have flourished and become realities for the individual and/or the community as a whole: as educational facilities and forums, personal growth opportunities and businesses, and as great community fun!

Exactly what is CERC?

The organization fosters the holistic development of the Floyd County community through charitable donations to groups offering educational and scientific activities. CERC also is a pass-through for organizations applying for grants but have not acquired their own 501-C3

Hello everyone!!

CERC (Community Education Resource Coalition) is having the annual membership meeting July 6th at 5:30 for members & 5pm for Board members. The meeting will be at the Lineberry Park under the pavilion. There's music in the Park that evening, part of the Small Town Events, looking forward to connecting with everyone, hearing your ideas and sharing possibilities, hope you can make the meeting, bring a $1 to stay onboard the CERC membership!!

Hello friends of the Community Educational Resource Coalition (CERC)!!

We're having our annual 2022 Membership meeting on Friday May 20th @ 6:15PM, you ask where, well at Lineberry Park-
Membership, bring your dinner or grab a pizza from DogTown and join us. Remember to bring your $1 membership fee, and if you have friends bring them along, maybe we can grow the membership and add new Board members!!
Can't make this meeting, and want to continue or be considered for a Board position, great let us know, pm me.

Good day to all, hope this finds you healthy and safe.

The CERC annual meeting has been postponed until December 4th due to the uncertainty of the virus, Covid19. You'll be notified of the location and time as we approach the date. Hope we can be together, it may mean physical distance and masks, more information as we move through the seasons. Let's hope the virus is gone before winter sets in.
