This year’s ride carries a heavy sense of loss as we are forced to say goodbye to our dear friend and Coordinator, Mike Carr. Mike went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 9, 2026, leaving behind a legacy that is woven into the very fabric of this ride. He was a cornerstone of our planning meetings and a constant presence on the ground—always ready to do the hard work- anything to ensure the ride was a success.
To his wife, Rosemary, and their daughters, Christy and Britney—we share in your grief, and we thank you for sharing Mike with us. we are forever grateful for the time we had with Mike; he will be deeply missed at every turn. You will always be a part of the Floyd County Tractor Fun Run Family. ❤️
This year’s ride is officially dedicated to Mike’s memory.
The road will feel different without him in the lineup, and his absence leaves a hole that simply can’t be filled. But as we start our engines, his legacy rolls on with us.

Well, The 2025 Floyd County Tractor Fun Run is this coming SATURDAY!!!!! You still have time to Pre-register I will be closing Pre-registration on Wednesday 8/13/25 at 8pm. It's time to start washing and polishing those tractor!!! The 2025 Ride is getting close!! Check out the 2025 Tractor Route. Be sure you head on over to our website and pre-register. Registration that day begins at 8am. The Ride starts at 10am. We will be stopping at Peaceful Setting Farm for lunch, so remember to bring yourself a lunch.

Hey Folks,
Start polishing those tractors! The 18th Annual Floyd County Tractor Fun Run will be on August 16th 2025. So far, we have a lot planned! During the 8:00am Registration, while everyone is arriving and getting themselves registered, we have the trackless train for the little ones. Coffee and donuts are also available.
Maybe a few new surprises!!!
Once the ride begins we will make our legendary trip through town. During the route you will see some of the most picturesque countryside Virginia has to offer. At lunch time we will be stopping for lunch at the stunning Peaceful Setting Farm, this is the absolutely perfect setting for a lunch break, don’t forget to pack yourself a lunch!! After lunch, there will be plenty of time for fellowship and to share your stories and maybe even brag a little. During our lunch break we have several items to auction off, also for the very first time we will have a “Door Prize” for one of our lucky participants! And for a special treat be sure to grab yourself a bag of freshly popped popcorn and a snow cone. Our online registration is available for the 2025 Ride. Just be at Arlie Thompson’s at 9am to register, pay the $20.00 registration fee and your ready to go. Space is limited for wagon riders so it will be on a first come first seated basis. Please make sure your tractor has a Slow-Moving vehicle sign clearly visible at all times and No Hay Spears on tractors.

We're excited to announce that the 18th annual Floyd County Tractor Fun Run will be August 16th, 2025. It is such a spectacular site seeing all the beautiful tractors old and new, in all sorts of shapes and sizes come together, as well as their drivers who were all beaming with happiness and pride. There’s something pretty special about the rural community when it comes together, especially for such a great charity fundraiser as this. This year the aim is to raise money for Josiah Cochram and Madison Zeman. Please visit our website and read about these astonishing young people and their journeys.
