Dear CDSFM Members and Friends,
This is another reminder of the upcoming reunion on June 24th and 25th.

Here are the summary highlights:

Friday June 24th @ 6:30 pm - Catered supper at the Shelor park picnic shelter – catered by Mikey G’s. Right now our headcount is about 36 people for Friday night and cost is looking to be about $25 per person.

Saturday June 25th @ 9:00 -11:00 am - CDSFM business meeting at Floyd Presbyterian Church, breakfast is provided.

Saturday June 25th @ 3:00 pm—Shelor park start of the festivities (dinner at 5:30pm). Bring something cool to sell for the auction at 7 pm, preferably relating to the Shelor heritage but not required, anything will do. This is one of our biggest fund raisers.


Here are directions if you need them:
Shelor Park located at the furnace: From the town of Floyd at the stoplight, head on South on Rt. 221 for approx. 4.1 miles, turn left on Rt 726 and follow approx. 1.8 miles, turn left on Rt. 605 and follow for approx. 1.6 miles and Shelor Park road will be on the right.
Floyd Presbyterian Church: 169 Newtown Rd NE, Floyd, VA 24091

An update on the 2022 Shelor Reunion:

With the currently declining COVID numbers in the area we will have the reunion on June 24-25th, 2022.

It will be a fun two days of connecting with family and friends. Many fun activities are being planned for everyone. A detailed agents will be posted soon so mark your calendar for those dates and plan to join us for the Family Reunion!

Dear CDSFM Members & Friends,

Covid has changed everything since our last reunion in 2019 and caused us to postpone the one scheduled in 2021.

In this regard, please mark your calendar to show that the CDSFM’s next annual meeting and family reunion is "tentatively" scheduled to begin on the evening of Friday, June 24th and ending Saturday, June 25th , 2022.

A final decision as to whether or not to hold the reunion this year or delay it again until next summer will depend on a sufficient number of members indicating that they plan to attend. That is why we are requesting that you respond to the attached survey link https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeZTOTNBEi1B8KvITuZPZ2r3ktWFf8Bi_AekLqBwZyrP7L39w/viewform?usp=sf_link at your earliest convenience, but no later than Feb 26th, 2022, at which time we will make a final decision and notify everyone. We have also attached a tentative schedule for your planning purposes.

If you have not done so already, we ask that you please send to Janice any amounts you may owe for 2021 & 2022. As a reminder, for Members the maintenance dues are only $25 per voting member per year. If you are not sure what, if anything, you owe, please feel free to contact Janice at [email protected].
