Wishing everyone a happy Memorial Day weekend as we spend time with family and friends and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We also want to thank the healthcare professionals, first responders, emergency personnel, transplant teams, and those on call this weekend who continue working around the clock to honor the lifesaving gift of organ, eye, and tissue donation and care for others in their greatest moments of need.

Congratulations to the practitioners and staff at Meridian Medical Associates, PA for winning MORA's 2026 National Donate Life Month Awareness Through Art Challenge.

Their beautiful entry featured real flowers preserved in wax, crocheted leaves, cotton clouds, and pine cone bark, transforming natural "living" elements into a lasting work of art that reflects the enduring impact of organ, eye, and tissue donation.

We were incredibly encouraged by the response from healthcare partners across the state and look forward to seeing the creativity and passion you bring to next April’s donation awareness challenge. Thank you to everyone who participated!

This week, we proudly recognized the first recipients of the Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency Show Your Heart Scholarship.

Congratulations to Presley King of D'Iberville High School and Waylen Clinton of Charleston High School for being selected as the inaugural scholarship winners. We are excited to celebrate their accomplishments and the example they set for their schools and communities.
