Please join us in giving a huge shoutout to **Dr. Deowarski McDonald**, a 2027 Best Dressed Jackson Honoree and Fundraising Lead who is using his platform to make a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer! 💙

A passionate educator and leader, Dr. McDonald currently serves as Deputy Director of Accountability and Support for the Mississippi Charter School Authorizer Board. Throughout his career in education, he has been dedicated to empowering students and creating opportunities for others to thrive.

His commitment to service extends beyond education. Dr. McDonald believes in supporting efforts that directly contribute to **saving lives**, making the mission of the American Cancer Society especially meaningful to him. Through research, patient support, advocacy, and education, ACS is working every day to make a difference for millions impacted by cancer.

A previous Best Dressed Jackson honoree, James brings incredible **strength, resilience, faith, and purpose** to his role. His connection to the American Cancer Society is deeply personal, as he continues his own cancer journey after being diagnosed with **prostate cancer in December 2023**.

James is passionate about raising awareness, supporting vital patient resources, and helping fund research that gives hope to those navigating a cancer diagnosis. Through Best Dressed Jackson, he is proud to use his voice and experience to remind others that a cancer diagnosis does not define the journey—and that strength, determination, and hope can make a powerful difference. 💙
