🌷 **A Small Change That Can Make You Sound More Confident**

Have you ever caught yourself saying:

"I'm **just** checking in…"
"I **just** wanted to ask…"
"I'm **just** following up…"

Try removing the word **"just."**

Instead:
💼 "I'm following up about our conversation."
💼 "I'd like to share an idea."
💼 "I'm checking on the status of…"

It's a tiny change, but it can make your communication sound more confident and intentional.

You don't have to minimize your request before you've even made it. 💖

💼 Business Tip: Don't Let That Connection Go Cold!

Meeting someone is only the beginning. The real value of networking often happens in the follow-up. 🤝

After meeting someone new, take five minutes to:
✨ Send a quick "It was great meeting you!" message
✨ Mention something specific from your conversation
✨ Connect with them on LinkedIn or social media
✨ Make a note about how you might be able to help one another
✨ Follow through if you promised to send something!

You don't need a sales pitch. You just need to continue the conversation.

Strong networks aren't built by collecting contacts—they're built by nurturing relationships. 💕

At our 2025 TBW State Conference, President Karen Gray charged us all with a mission to “DARE to BEE You”! She has helped encourage every woman to be brave enough to show up for herself and BEE authentically YOU!

Honoring Karen Gray's term as TBW President, here are a few memories from 2024, where we hosted a Spring Conference in the Hill Country in Fredericksburg (which was one of her favorite events!) During the 2024 conference "Legacies and Legends", we went back to our roots… when we visited the TWU Women's History Museum & Hall of Fame as well as the TBW/(BPW) Archives in the TWU library, reconnecting with over a hundred years of our HERstory.

The afternoon BLOOM CONFERENCE speakers are helping our attendees elevate their professional skills with AI & Strategic Planning. Once again, we have had such an amazing lineup and everyone is feeling recharged, while having fun decorating flower 🌺 pots and planting seeds that we can all enjoy as a reminder of how today’s events will continue to BLOOM long after this weekend’s event is over.
