SHELTER NEEDS YOUR HELP! 🚨

Our hearts are breaking for these dogs. We do not want to see another situation like Sophie and Lady FireFly, where dogs spend an entire year in a shelter waiting for a family. No dog deserves that.

💔 These dogs rely on people coming to the shelter to see them. They are not taken to adoption events or public activities where potential adopters can meet them. Sadly, they are being overlooked and spending their days waiting behind kennel doors.

✅Vaccinated ✅Spayed/Neutered ✅ Microchipped

They are ready to go home. All they need is someone willing to give them a chance.

💡Please help us spread the word by sharing this post and tagging rescues, friends, neighbors, community groups and anyone looking for a pet. Every share could be the one that changes a dog's life.

🐶 Seven wonderful dogs are currently searching for their forever families. Each one has a unique personality and different needs:

✅ Different sizes
✅ Different energy levels
✅ Dogs that are great for apartment living
✅ Dogs that would love a large backyard
✅ Medium-sized companions and more

There truly is a dog for every family.

🚨 Please, we are begging for your help. This is urgent. Every day they remain in the shelter is another day without the love, comfort, and security of a home. They deserve so much more than waiting. Sometimes one share is all it takes to connect a dog with their forever family.

❤️ If you have been thinking about adding a pet to your family, please visit the Hickory Creek Animal Shelter and give one of these deserving dogs the opportunity they have been waiting for.

Many people don't even know this shelter exists, so please help us spread the word. Weekend appointments are available, making it easier to come meet these wonderful dogs.

Lake Cities Seniors will be meeting at the First Baptist Church of Lake Dallas tomorrow, Tuesday, August 11, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for dominos, Left-Right-Center, socializing and lunch.

If you (or someone you know) is 55+, come join the fun! Coffee and water are provided but please bring a potluck item to share. We love the fellowship that happens when sharing a meal together. Don’t know how to play? No problem! Come to learn or just to make a new friend! ❤️

LCS members had a SWEET🍭 time at their ice cream social. We had a lot of winners at Candy Bar Bingo and everyone got to enjoy a full ice cream bar with all the fixings. 😋

A heartfelt thank you to our precious volunteers and wonderful donors who help keep this fun tradition going for the senior citizens of our community. We are grateful for all of you🩷
