October Delivery Week is underway. 🙌🏻 Our first deliveries headed out to schools today, with plenty more happening throughout the week.

All the ordering, shopping, stocking and prepping leads to this; snacks arriving at our schools and being there when students need them.

And we’re only on Monday.

Power Snacks starts with food, but sometimes it opens the door to something more.

School counselors & coordinators have shared with us that when a student comes in for a snack, it creates a natural opportunity to check in. Sometimes it’s simply a snack and back to class. Other times, that quick check-in turns into a conversation about something happening at school or at home, and a chance to connect that student with additional support when they need it.

That’s one of the things we love most about this program. We’re helping fill a nutritional gap, but we’re also giving schools another opportunity to care for their students.

And sometimes, it really does start with something as simple as a snack. 💛

Our October Prep Day is a little over a week away, and as you can see, we have some shelves to fill. 😅

Right now, we could especially use Nut Free Granola Bars, Cheese Crackers, Veggie Sticks, Cereal Bars, and Applesauce.

These snacks will head right back out the door during our October Delivery Week, helping us provide Power Snacks to students across 29 schools in Denton County.

We swear we just did this. 😂

September snacks went out to our schools at the beginning of the month, which left our shelves looking a little bare. And October Prep Day is already next Sunday.

Time to start filling them back up and getting ready to do it all over again.

Today’s mission: get snacks to kids who need them. 💛

It’s North Texas Giving Day, and our goal is pretty simple: keep Power Snacks going strong for the 7,500 students we’re currently serving each month and help us grow from 29 schools to 32 this year.

It costs about $1 to provide snacks for one student for a month, so today really is one of those days where every donation adds up.

We’re 100% volunteer-run, and community support is what makes this program possible.

Let’s see what we can do today. 💛

North Texas Giving Day is tomorrow! 💚

This school year, Power Snacks is providing shelf-stable, kid-friendly snacks to students experiencing food insecurity at 29 schools across Denton County, with a goal of expanding to 32 schools.

And we can’t do that without community support.

We’re 100% volunteer-run, and community support is what makes Power Snacks possible. This year we’d love to grow from 29 schools to 32 and get snacks to even more kids who need them.

Early giving is already open, or you can join us tomorrow for North Texas Giving Day.

Help us keep the pantry stocked and keep Power Snacks growing.

POV: You survived the first Power Snacks Delivery Week of the school year. 😂

September snacks are officially out the door and in the hands of students across Denton County.

Another huge thank you to the volunteers who prep, load, pick up and deliver every month. We couldn’t do this without you.

We’ll give her a minute before we tell her October is coming.

First one of the year is in the books. 💚

This week, Power Snacks made its way to 29 schools, helping provide snacks for over 6000 local students who need one during the school day.

From everyone who donated snacks to the volunteers who prepped and delivered them, thank you for making September happen.

We’ll do it all again in October. 🎃

Power Snacks doesn’t get from our pantry to local schools on its own.

Our delivery volunteers pick up each school’s snacks, coordinate with their campus and make sure they get where they need to go.

Some have been doing this with us for years. Some are making their very first delivery this week. We’re grateful for every one of them. 💚
