Another school year of Power Snacks is officially wrapped up.
This year, every single delivery we made helped support over 7,500 students across our local schools. That number still honestly stops me in my tracks sometimes. Behind every box packed and every shelf stocked were kids walking into school needing a little extra support to get through their day.
What this program provides goes far beyond snacks. It helps students focus in class, get through long afternoons, regulate emotions a little easier, and simply know there’s something available when they need it. For a lot of students, these snacks have become something they count on.
None of it happens without this community.
To every volunteer who spent weekends prepping deliveries, loading boxes, organizing the pantry, shopping for snacks, making deliveries to schools, answering emails, donating funds, hosting drives, or sharing our posts… thank you. Truly.
Power Snacks is what it is because so many people continue to show up for kids they may never even meet.
We’re incredibly grateful for another year of serving our schools and being trusted to support their students. And while the pantry may be quiet for a minute, we’re already looking ahead to next school year and the students who will need us there again.
