WTF was deve

loped after losing our son, Brett Morgan O’Keefe, to an accidental drug overdose. We choose to be a part of Winning, not losing. Brett was well known for using the “WTF” in a kidding manner. So we used the initials and changed the meaning to something positive. Our goal is to educate. Most families will not educate themselves to the destruction of addiction until it happens to them and then it becomes necessary. They make drug use a moral issue when it is not. Our goal is to help parents realize that this can happen to normal families. This is happening in areas all over America. If no one speaks out, we cannot change the stigma and the judgment.

✨ Board Spotlight: Meet Bill Collins ✨
Advisor. Leader. Community Champion.

With decades of financial leadership experience, Bill has built his career around helping people plan confidently for the future. But beyond the numbers, his heart has always been in serving the community.

From leading two local Chambers of Commerce to being named Citizen of the Year, Bill has spent years investing in the place he calls home. He’s also a proud husband to his wife, Sheila, and loves spending time with their children, grandchildren, and growing family.

We’re grateful for his wisdom, leadership, and commitment to making a difference.

4 million people. Countless opportunities to save a life.

Last week, we joined Dallas County Health & Human Services to walk through Dallas, providing overdose prevention education and naloxone trainings to local restaurants and bars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The reality is that overdoses can happen anywhere. When more people know what to do in an emergency, more lives can be saved.

We believe prevention starts with authentic conversations, practical education, and putting life-saving tools directly into the hands of our community.

Thankful to be doing this work alongside so many dedicated partners. 💙❤️

There's a synthetic opioid 13x stronger than morphine sitting on gas station shelves right now—right next to the energy drinks—with zero regulation and no age restrictions. It's called 7-OH, and most people have never heard of it. Get educated. Share this. Start the conversation. 👇

By Paige Furin, Executive Director, Winning the Fight I’ll be honest with you—I walk into gas stations and convenience stores all the time and grab an energy drink or a … Continue reading The Opioid Crisis Hidden in Plain Sight

I think adults forget how powerful it is to simply talk to young people instead of talking at them.

The Ripple Effect wasn’t about fear or scare tactics.
It was about honesty.
Connection.
Understanding the “why.”

And hearing students say this was the first time they felt genuinely listened to?
That’s the ripple effect. ❤️

One conversation can create a ripple that changes everything.

Thank you to our partners at The Grove Church for helping us create space for these conversations to happen.

What a night. 🏇✨❤️

Because of YOU, the Winning Strides Derby Gala was more than just a fundraiser — it was a room full of hope, connection, laughter, and people who believe recovery matters.

From the derby races and raffles to the conversations shared around the tables, every moment helped support the mission of Winning The Fight and the work we do every day to fight stigma and save lives through education, prevention, and support.

We are endlessly grateful to our sponsors, donors, volunteers, attendees, and community partners who made this event possible.

A very special thank you to Mia Silvertooth with May & Sons Photos and Cinena for capturing the heart, joy, and energy of the evening so beautifully. 📸✨

Some of the most meaningful work happens behind the scenes - and we’re grateful for partners like Tru Dallas Detox who are making a real difference every day.

Their commitment to compassionate care and accessibility in recovery aligns so closely with the heart of what we do.

And tomorrow night, they’re helping us bring a little extra fun to the celebration as the sponsor of our 360 photo booth - giving guests a chance to capture the night and take home a memory. ✨📸
