Please earnestly pray for them 🙏

As I wind up my summer and get ready to transition to fall, the Lord brought
to mind our Empower Dreams ministry partners in India, Uganda, and Sudan —
and the incredible personal price they pay to serve Him: in their safety,
their finances, and so many areas of their lives.

And yet they work tirelessly, because they care about every person they
might possibly be used to help disciple.

Please pray for these brave, selfless ministry leaders:
🙏 For their families' safety and health
🙏 For their finances
🙏 For their leadership teams
🙏 That the Lord would encourage them in their ministry, seeing people
saved and discipled
🙏 That their example would be a blessing to those of us in the US coming
alongside them

Amen.

When hope returns, dreams return.
During Paul’s May visit to Uganda, one of the most moving moments was sitting with women Wilson and Stella are helping walk toward a new life.
Their stories are tender and difficult, and we want to tell them with dignity. But what stood out most was not the hardship — it was the hope.
As these women begin to experience healing and stability, they are also beginning to dream again.
One woman hopes to open a hair salon that can also become a place of ministry and discipleship. Another dreams of becoming a professional driver. Others are longing for the skills and opportunity to provide for their children.
This is the kind of faithful, patient, Gospel-centered work Wilson and Stella have been doing in Uganda’s ghettos for nearly 15 years.
Would you pray for them?
Pray for wisdom and strength for Wilson and Stella, continued healing for these women, practical work opportunities, and safety and provision for their children.
Faithful leaders. Difficult places. Quiet hope.

Faithful leaders reproducing faithful leaders
I recently returned from Uganda deeply encouraged by a group of Sudanese ministry leaders who are committing a year to deeper discipleship and evangelism training under Pastor Ibrahim as he works to build additional top tier leaders.

These leaders are serving across Sudan, the Nuba Mountains, refugee communities, and major cities.

What encouraged me most was not a program or presentation. It was their humility, conviction, and desire to be more faithful servants of Christ.

A phrase that stayed with me:

Faithful leaders reproducing faithful leaders.

We disciple these leaders, teach best practices, and walk alongside them as they grow groups that become thriving discipleship communities.

God is transforming lives in South Asia, and He’s doing it through ordinary people who said yes.

At a recent retreat that you helped fund for women church planters, leaders created space for rest, connection, and encountering God together. What seemed simple became holy.

“Never could I have imagined that God would have elevated me to a place where I would be traveling and seeing another area like this.”

The retreat didn’t just change their scenery. It expanded how they see their worth in God’s eyes.

These women serve faithfully, even while facing persecution for the name of Christ. The retreat didn’t remove their burdens, but it reminded them that they don’t carry them alone.
