UPDATE: All passed and will be going to Houston in June. See you there!

Our Legislative Priorities have been written and will be heard on Saturday. If/Once passed, they will head to the Republican Party of Texas' State Convention. Please make plans to come and testify between June 9th and 11th in Houston, Texas. Have your testimony written out, because you generally only have two minutes. It is so important to do this, as we need to get into the Top 8 Legislative Priorities to have help. Yes, we can do it without, as we did last session. (Came in at Number 7 in the committee, but number 13 in the general) But it sure helps!

Judicial Accountability

Confidence in the integrity of the judiciary is fundamental to maintaining law and order and respect for the same by the citizens of Texas. For this cause, the Texas legislature shall immediately:

IN THE COURT OF CRIMINAL APPEALS OF TEXAS - DISSENTING STATEMENT - February 13, 2026 - Presiding Judge David Schenck

A dissent was issued today that we all need to be aware of. A trial judge in Collin County was having a romantic affair with the District Attorney of Collin County, and they were responsible for this man's prosecution. This is deeply disturbing. How many were prosecuted during the long-term affair? This case is from more than 30 years ago. We are seeing the corruption more and more, in every county. How do we clean up this system? At Texans for Judicial Accountability, we started with the last legislative session and were able to get SB 293 through, and the voters helped get Constitutional Amendment 12 (SJR 27) through. We have much to do. Thank you Judge Schenck for your dissent.

Fred Tate for Texas served on the State Commission on Judicial Conduct and he is voting YES on Proposition 12. Let’s all join him!

As someone who served on the State Commission on Judicial Conduct, I’ve seen firsthand how important accountability and balance are in maintaining trust in our courts.

That’s why I’m supporting Proposition 12 on this November’s ballot. Prop 12 strengthens public oversight of the judiciary by ensuring that a majority of the commission’s members are citizens appointed from outside the judicial system. This change helps put the power back into the hands of the people, where it belongs.

Texans deserve a system that is fair, transparent, and accountable to those it serves. Vote YES TODAY on Proposition 12 and help keep our courts working for the people of Texas!
