The Village of Bourbonnais hosted the Economic Alliance of Kankakee County June 2024 Board of Directors meeting. Bourbonnais Mayor Paul Schore showcased the Community Campus and the years of work that went into designing and transforming the space. The Community Campus will be in full operation in time for the Bourbonnais Friendship Festival later this month.

Economic Alliance of Kankakee County President / CEO Timothy Nugent also gave an overview of community and economic development in Kankakee County.

Southland Navigators connect at the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce Live Well Eat Well healthcare event! Terri Winfree and Angela Morrey with the Economic Alliance of Kankakee County listened to a discussion aimed at fostering healthy eating habits, particularly with our youth, and their role in preventing diseases.

The conversation also focused on how employers can help their teams gain a healthy lifestyle, and the affects of positive mental health.

A Kankakee County delegation from the Economic Alliance of Kankakee County took a business trip halfway around the world to visit the headquarters and many manufacturing sites for the company. The company has more than 35,000 employees around the world, and the Manteno facility, will hire 2,600 for operations to begin later this year.
