History

In the spring of 2008 Lois Laster, Amer Ruth Green, Flora Robinson and Alvernys Watson organized a meeting to address the issues of the changing lives of women 55 and older. Who, because of retirement, divorce, death of a spouse and other life changing situations committed themselves to find new and different ways to celebrate the second phase of their lives. Following several other meeti

ngs and countless discussions, by the fall of 2008 these women had attracted 35 additional women. They incorporated and came to be known as Our Second Act, Inc. Our Second Act's top priority is to provide opportunities for wholesome development of the mature woman through activities that will enhance educational, social, moral, spiritual, cultural, and economic development. Sponsor workshops, seminars, social and cultural events and scholarships that impact the lives of women. Some of the issues we address are:

- Stylish Dressing for the Mature Woman
- Weight loss and Living Healthy Lives
- Staying Active
- Living the Dream after 55 years of age

Our Second Act, Inc is committed to providing revenue generated from, workshops and seminars to organizations that assist women 55 and older in developing and implementing their goals for the second phase of their lives.
