On Saturday, the Maconite STL Chapter hosted its Annual Christmas Luncheon at the Circle 7 Ranch, where we enjoyed excellent cuisine, fun, and fellowship while wearing our festive Christmas glasses.

Congratulations to the National Maconite Scholarship Organization on commemorating another year. Accolades to the Macon Chapter for hosting the 54th gala in Columbus and Macon, Mississippi. The gala took place at the Trotter Convention Center in Columbus, featuring an exceptional keystone speaker, Dr. Velma Hill Jenkins of Shuqualak, Mississippi. On Sunday, a picnic was enjoyed at the Civic Center in Macon.

Services for Fred Turner.

I am saddened to announce the passing of Mr. Fred Turner. As one of the founders of the Maconite Scholarship Organization, he served 16 years as the STL Chapter's first President. Upon relocating to Atlanta he started the Atlanta Chapter. His legacy will endure, and he will be deeply missed. Please keep his daughter Barbara and grandchildren in your prayers during this difficult time.

Upon arrival in Mississippi, the bus will transport us to various destinations, including:
Friday evening - Meet & Greet at American Legion Hall in Columbus
Saturday - Shopping mall and Maconite Gala at the Trotter Convention Center in Columbus and
Sunday - Picnic at Macon Civic Center in Macon. The driver will announce departure times for each destination.

The Maconite STL Chapter had the pleasure of sponsoring a fantastic fundraiser bus trip to Branson, MO, to see the incredible stage play “DAVID” at the Sight and Sound Theatre.
We had a fun time on the ride down, playing games, raffle, watching movies, and stopping for lunch at the Grand Country Buffet. To our surprise, our wonderful bus driver, Mr. Robert Tippett, turned out to be a native of Macon!!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this event. We couldn’t have done it without your support, and look forward to more exciting events ahead. 🙌🏽❤️

We are organizing a bus trip from St. Louis to Mississippi for the the Labor Day weekend (August 29th - September 1st) and we would love for you to join us. This is for the 54th Maconite Scholarship Gala… see information below.
