Burned 80 acres today that had never been burned. It had a Louisiana pinesnake focal area project, a unique glade, and many longleaf pine that are over 100 years old. We had some of the greatest help with La Dept of Wildlife and Fisheries and Southwest La Prescribed Burn Association. Next week we plan to install a camera trap to see what small creatures are investigating the burn including snakes. We are looking forward to the recovery of the glade, but we really need rain.
