Well deserved recognition at today's Orange County Youth Bureau awards ceremony!

Our two volunteers, Kathleen Conlon who attends John S. Burke Catholic High School, and Aiden Caldwell who attends Florida Union Free School District earned 1st and 3rd place for Outstanding Leadership/Volunteerism/Citizenship. During their SIX years at the pantry, they have helped over 16,000 members of our community!

We offer congratulations to Kathleen, Aiden and their parents! We're confident that both Kathleen and Aiden will continue their compassion for others into adulthood. We are blessed to have them as part of our volunteer team!

Madison, who started volunteering at the pantry this past year, received the Raul Torres Volunteerism Award at her NJROTC end of year awards ceremony this week in Middletown. We're so proud of her!

What's extra special is that she is the granddaughter of Charlotte Zovistoski who founded the Florida Community Food Pantry in 1991 and served as its director for 15 years. 🥰

What a wonderful surprise! Ben Ehlers stopped by the pantry today to present a $300 check on behalf of the National Honor Society at Florida Union Free School District SS Seward Institute!! (And yes, we appreciated how professionally dressed he was for the occasion -- impressive!)

Thank you to all the honor students who worked hard to raise money for your neighbors in need! You made our day! Your donation will allow us to purchase up to 1875 pounds of food from the Regional Food Bank. That's a lot of meals!! ❤️❤️❤️
