Permaculture in Politics!

Yesterday I was on a pretty exciting call with another member of Regenerate Cascadia, Thomas Harun. He has been selected to head-up a campaign in Portland, OR for a prospective City Councilor, Chris Henry. I am not typically very excited by politics, certainly not national politics. However this is local and even more exciting is this from their plans:

"This is our seven-step Permaculture Plan to help Portland become Cascadia Ready:"

At last, openly and overtly included in a political platform. Certainly, I will be doing what I can to support this campaign.

It blows my mind that in these times of ongoing climate-weather disruptions that people are still organizing and attending conferences. The worst of all being those which are dedicated to climate change effects.

We really do have to get really real and stop these sorts of mass gatherings and let's not forget, COVID is still very much with us with Long-COVID lurking in the wings.

Bill Mollison and David Holmgren had a huge influence on my life, way before I realized the predicament we are in. Collectively they evolved which is now in every country on Earth. Indeed it is a universal way of living which can take us past the over excesses of our governments and other harmful institutions which are ruining our Biosphere.

The books, which Bill Mollison created have been hard to get for a while, in fact, "Permaculture A Designers' Manual" actually reached a price of $1,000.00 plus on Amazon a few years back. That book is filled with so many topical and critical actions that we can take now, every day in fact.

By dint of my surname (Brunt) one of Lisa Mollison's team reached out to me recently to share that many of Bill's books are available again. So because he brought so much knowing and goodness into my life I feel it might help to share this link to a collection of his books which are available again, including A Designers' Manual
