Sadly, the Florham Park Police Department is announcing the passing of our own retired Lieutenant Bob Kelly, age 74. Bob started his career with us on July 1, 1974, and retired 26 years later in the fall of 2000 as Badge #513. Bob was instrumental in the creation and evolution of our Support Services Unit.
Following his retirement, Bob was fortunate to do what many say they want to do, but usually don't. He traveled the country in his RV and saw some amazing things along the way, right up to his passing while adventuring in Kentucky. Bob was a continued friend to many in retirement, meeting with other retirees for lunches or just catching up, and generally staying in contact with his friends. Bob will be missed by many. Our condolences go out to his family.
