If you reside near the San Antonio River, Cibolo Creek, or low floodplain, be prepared to relocate to high ground. Do not drive through flooded or barricaded roads. Shelter locations will be disclosed as needed.

What an incredible milestone for Wilson County! 🚌

Congratulations to everyone who helped bring the Connect Wilson County & Connect Floresville transportation system to life. Access to reliable transportation is a vital resource that helps connect our neighbors to healthcare, employment, essential services, and so much more.

Wilson County Cares is proud to celebrate this achievement and recognize the many community partners, elected officials, and volunteers who made it possible. We're especially proud that several of our board members were among those who helped champion this effort.

This is a great reminder of what can be accomplished when organizations, leaders, and community members work together toward a shared vision. Congratulations to everyone involved on creating a lasting resource for the people of Wilson County! ❤️

Wilson County Cares is proud to share an update with our community and supporters.
Since our inception, we have assisted approximately 25 individuals in preventing utility disconnections and maintaining housing stability during times of financial hardship, providing utility and rent assistance. These efforts have helped families and individuals remain safe and secure in their homes.
We also continue to support the Wilson County Senior Center, including both the Congregate Community Meal Program and the Homebound Meal Program, serving seniors throughout Wilson and Karnes Counties. These programs help ensure access to nutritious meals and ongoing community connection.
This work is made possible through the continued support of our donors and community partners. Wilson County Cares remains committed to meeting needs, strengthening our community, and serving our neighbors with care and compassion.
