Wilson County Cares is proud to share an update with our community and supporters.
Since our inception, we have assisted approximately 25 individuals in preventing utility disconnections and maintaining housing stability during times of financial hardship, providing utility and rent assistance. These efforts have helped families and individuals remain safe and secure in their homes.
We also continue to support the Wilson County Senior Center, including both the Congregate Community Meal Program and the Homebound Meal Program, serving seniors throughout Wilson and Karnes Counties. These programs help ensure access to nutritious meals and ongoing community connection.
This work is made possible through the continued support of our donors and community partners. Wilson County Cares remains committed to meeting needs, strengthening our community, and serving our neighbors with care and compassion.

📣 Wilson County Cares Needs Your Help!
As the Wilson County Expo Center prepares for upcoming renovations, Wilson County Cares is searching for a new temporary location to host our Senior Meals Program.
We are looking for a space that can accommodate our seniors comfortably during mealtime and allow us to continue providing this important service without interruption.
🌟 What we need:
• Indoor space available on weekdays around lunchtime
• Tables & chairs (or space to set them up)
• ADA accessible entrance preferred
• Location within Wilson County
If you know of a church, community center, organization, or facility that may be interested in partnering with us, please send us a message or call us! Your support helps ensure our seniors continue receiving meals in a safe, welcoming environment.

Wilson County Cares is looking for a part-time executive assistant to help support our mission and keep our daily operations running smoothly.
✨ Ideal Candidate:
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Comfortable managing schedules, emails, and administrative tasks
• Professional, reliable, and self-motivated
• Prior office or administrative experience preferred
⏰ 16-20 hours a month
📍 Local applicants encouraged. This would be good for someone who is retired and looking to be involved in the community.
