~ WE ARE WCARS ~

Yes, we rescue. We adopt. We have amazing fosters and a small, donation-based facility in a small Texas town…with a big heart.

But rescue is only part of who we are. Every week, we hear about stray animals, unwanted litters, injured pets and animals needing somewhere to go. As animal lovers, we wish we could save every single one—but the reality is, we cannot rescue, transport or shelter our way out of an animal overpopulation crisis. We have to work on preventing it, too!

That means spaying and neutering. Proper vet care. Good nutrition. Microchipping. Keeping pets safe and treating them like family. It means educating our community and advocating for animals who don’t have a voice.

We may not be able to change the whole world, but we CAN change our little corner of it. 🐾

Foster. Adopt. Volunteer. Share our low-cost spay & neuter program. Donate when you can. Talk about responsible pet ownership. Sometimes simply sharing information with the right person can change an animal’s future.

Together, we can create a kinder, safer future for the dogs and cats in our community.
