❣️BREAKING NEWS: LOCAL MAN HAS BIG VOICE, SHORT LEGS, AND ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT FOR QUIET HOURS 🤷‍♀️

Finn's previous owner was trying to rehome him at a dog park when a kind Good Samaritan stepped in to make sure this sweet boy landed somewhere safe. Now Finn is looking for the plot twist every rescue dog deserves: a family who loves him FOREVER.

And honestly? LOOK AT HIM. 🥹❤️

This boy is sweet, playful, gorgeous, ridiculously soft, and full of personality. He's young, so he still has some learning to do, but he's ready to find his people and grow into the very best version of himself.
He's also neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Basically, his paperwork is more organized than most of our lives.

Basically, I am a fully operational dog with one less leg and absolutely zero less personality.

💔 We have heartbreaking news.

Over the past several days, and if you’ve been following you know we’ve had four tiny kittens in our care and hospitalized, fighting for their lives against panleukopenia.

In the past two days we have had to say goodbye to three of them. 💔
Rosemary, Wyck and Ruthie should have had so much more time. Three kittens who fought as hard as they could.
We are devastated, exhausted, and heartbroken that despite round-the-clock veterinary care and everything we could do, we could not save them.
But there is one piece of hope we are holding onto. ❤️
Our fourth kitten, Patty has turned the corner. 🥹 After everything this little one has been through, is doing finally doing better. We are cautiously optimistic, but she is not entirely out of the woods yet and will continue to be closely monitored and receive the care she needs.

And now comes the difficult reality for our tiny rescue.
So far, you have donated $2,278 through Facebook, PayPal, Venmo, and cash. We cannot thank every single person who has donated, shared, prayed, or checked on these babies enough. ❤️
But our veterinary bill was $12,000.
That means we still need approximately $10,000 more.

We are a small rescue with extremely limited funds, and donations have been down. We don't have a large financial cushion to fall back on when emergencies like this happen. When a kitten is critically ill, though, we don't have the luxury of saying, “We can't afford it.” We fight for them.
Because they deserve that chance.
And sometimes, despite everything, we lose them. 💔

In the coming days we will be doing a T-shirt fundraiser and a bourbon raffle to help raise money toward these medical bills, and we hope you'll consider participating.

🚨💔 WE ARE BEGGING YOU — PLEASE HELP US SAVE THESE KITTENS. 💔🚨

We are emotionally exhausted. We are scared, and we are desperately trying to keep four tiny lives from being taken by the same disease that already killed their mama.
The babies are only 4.5–5 weeks old and their mama died from panleukopenia over the weekend.

Then two of her babies tested positive.
They became so sick that Ruthie and Wyck had to be hospitalized at MedVet.

And now we have received the devastating news that all 4 kittens have tested positive.

💔 Four babies fighting the disease that killed their mother.
Just let that sink in.

These are babies who should still be curled up against their mama.
They should be nursing.
They should be chasing each other around and discovering their little kitten personalities.
Instead, they are fighting for their lives.
And we are fighting like hell to give them that chance.

WE ARE NOT GIVING UP ON THEM.
But we cannot do this without help.
Their care is expensive. They need round the clock veterinary treatment, and with another kitten now testing positive, the expenses continue to grow.

Update #3: 9/29 - Ruthie and Wyck are still hospitalized and we hope to be able to transfer them to our regular vet tomorrow. They are not out of the woods yet, but they’re hanging in there! Their littermates will be examined by our regular vet this afternoon.

Now they are fighting the same disease that killed her. 💔

We pulled four tiny kittens that are only 4.5–5 weeks old. On Sunday, their mama lost her battle with panleukopenia after becoming critically ill. The shelter immediately tested the kittens.

They are positive, too.

And now, two of these babies, Wyck and Ruthie, are very sick.

Wyck is fighting with everything he has. He is weak and struggling, and we are watching him fight a disease that can be absolutely brutal to tiny, unvaccinated kittens.

He should be curled up against his mama.
Instead, his mama is gone.

He should be learning to play.
Instead, he is fighting to breathe, eat, and survive.

He should have had a whole life ahead of him.
And right now, we are terrified that we may lose him before he ever gets the chance to live it. 😭

But we are NOT giving up.
We refuse to look at these babies and decide that their lives aren't worth the fight.

They are currently at MedVet where they’ll need intensive medical care. They need medications, fluids, nutrition, monitoring, and round-the-clock supportive treatment to give their little bodies a chance to overcome this devastating virus.

And we need your help to pay for it.

Minnie had a big day at the vet today, and she needs your help to get better. 🩹

She was spayed, had a mammary tumor removed, and underwent a dental cleaning with major extractions. Without a mouth full of painful, rotten teeth, she is going to feel like a brand-new dog once she heals up! She’ll finally be able to enjoy her favorite treats and chew her Greenies pain-free.

At 12 years old and managing kidney disease, many organizations would have looked at Minnie’s medical needs as “too much.” But we don’t think so. We believe she deserves every chance to live out her golden years in comfort and happiness—however long or short that may be.

We know you feel the same way. You’re the kind of person who can’t look away when an animal needs help.

We never back down from seniors, hospice cases, or medically complex dogs. But providing that level of care isn’t cheap. On top of her surgery bills, Minnie will need ongoing prescription wet food to keep her kidney disease in check and fuel her recovery.
