On behalf of myself (Kenneth Robison) I would like to personally thank all of our Participants (Reenactors, Vendors & living history presenters) and our visitors for joining us for the 2026 Skirmish at Gamble's Hotel. We hope that everyone enjoyed the event, and that all of you returned home safely.

I would also like to personally thank the members and friends of the Palmetto Riflemen who stepped up to help make this event a success; without their assistance, dedication and willingness to meet every call for help, the event would not have been possible. From helping police the camps, gathering the garbage, building breastworks, checking on the port-o-lets, running our entrance gate, helping to run spectators lines, putting out signs, etc. None of this would have been possible.

March 28-29, 2026. South Carolina. Civil War Reenactment. The Carolina Campaign - The 161st Anniversary of the Skirmish at Gamble's Hotel at the Historic Column's Plantation near Florence, SC. The event will include sutlers, vendors, living history demonstrations, daily battle reenactments and more! Spectators can visit campsites, displays, interactive station and watch the battle reenactment. KID'S CONSCRIPTION ~ Bringing your children out to see the Battle, be sure and take part in the Kids Conscription at 11:30 AM & 2 PM on Saturday and 11:30 AM on Sunday! Kids will go get to experience the process of enlisting, drilling and being paid a soldier's wage! A unique first hand experience, just before and after the battle!
