🎃 The scariest thing about addiction? Believing you’ll never find your way out. 👻

But recovery reminds us that the darkest seasons don’t last forever. There is life after addiction, freedom on the other side, and so much beauty in becoming who you were always meant to be. 🧡✨

At Lotus House, we get to witness these transformations every day. And THAT is something worth celebrating! Recovery is REAL, and the possibilities are anything but scary. 🖤🎃

This week, Amy rang the bell after completing her final cancer treatment! 💜🎗️

Sometimes, the road to recovery brings battles that go far beyond addiction. Amy has been navigating so much while continuing to show up for herself and her recovery, even when life has thrown some incredibly hard things her way.

Amy, we are so proud of you. Your journey is a reminder that recovery doesn’t mean life stops being hard. It means learning how to face those hard things differently, one day at a time. And this week, we got to celebrate a pretty incredible victory with you!

Transformation Tuesday 🪷TERA 🪷
“For 23 years, I was in active addiction. I was born and raised in Nashville, and along the way, my addiction took so much from me. I lost custody of my kids, lost my home, and spent years homeless. There was a point where I had no hope left.

The last time I went to jail, something had to change. After I got out, I moved to Florence and came to The Lotus. I didn't know what my life was going to look like, and I was afraid of the unknown, but I knew I couldn't keep living the way I had been.

I've been clean since June 27, 2024. Today, I have two years clean, and my life looks completely different. Recovery has given me things I never thought I could have.

I have a relationship with my kids and my family today. I have learned how to show up, how to be present, and how to love people in a healthier way. But one of the biggest things recovery has given me is something I never had before—I love myself.

The Lotus gave me a place to begin again. It gave me people who believed in me when I didn't believe in myself and gave me the opportunity to learn how to live a different life. Recovery didn't just help me get clean; it helped me become someone I never thought I could be.”
