For kids who have experienced trauma, play can be an important part of healing. It gives them space to feel safe, express themselves, build confidence, and simply be kids.

So this weekend, get on the floor, head outside, play a game, make something, be silly, and let the kids take the lead. Those simple moments can mean a lot.

Today, we lost a legend. But Dolly Parton leaves behind a legacy of believing in children.

Through Dolly’s Imagination Library, she gave children access to millions of books and helped generations of kids dream bigger, imagine more, and believe in what’s possible. Her commitment to children and families is something organizations like ours feel deeply.

Because at the heart of our work is the same simple belief: every child deserves to feel valued and capable of a bright future.

Dolly understood that investing in children isn’t just about what we give them today. It’s about giving them the tools, encouragement, and hope to become who they’re meant to be.

For those of us who spend our days advocating for children, Dolly’s example is a powerful reminder that one person’s kindness can reach generations.

Thank you, Dolly, for showing the world what it looks like to use your voice, your success, and your heart to lift up children. Your impact will live on in every child who opens a book, discovers a dream, or learns to believe in themselves. ❤️

Turns out our team knows how to have fun outside the office, too.

Last Friday, the Cramer crew traded our usual workday for a day of kayaking, archery, and fun team building at Bear Creek Collaborative. We laughed, got a little competitive, learned a few new skills, and maybe discovered who should not be trusted with a bow. 🏹

A huge thank you to the team at Bear Creek Collaborative for showing us such a great time and giving our crew a chance to connect, recharge, and have some fun together!

We work hard for kids every day, but clearly, we know how to play hard, too.
