We're excited to recognize Northwest Shoals Community College as a D**k Sponsor for Cramer's Paddle for a Cause Pickleball Tournament Presented by Long-Lewis Foundation!

NWSCC has been a longtime supporter of Cramer Children's Advocacy Center, and their commitment to helping children and families in our community continues to make a lasting impact. From awareness efforts to fundraising events, they consistently show up for our mission, and we couldn't be more grateful.

🎉 Please join us in welcoming Susanna Stephenson to the Cramer Children's Advocacy Center team!

Susanna recently earned her Master of Social Work from the University of North Alabama and brings with her a strong background in supporting children and families. She has experience teaching parenting classes as a Certified Parent Educator, providing in-home services through Limestone County Child Advocacy Center’s Parent Support Program, and serving families as a Family Support Worker with Family Counseling Associates.

At Cramer, Susanna will serve as a therapist and is already taking steps to expand her impact. This summer, she will sit for her LMSW licensure exam and will complete specialized training in Forensic Interviewing of Children in July.

Susanna’s passion for helping children, commitment to professional growth, and heart for families make her a wonderful addition to our team. We are excited to have her join us as we continue helping children heal from abuse and trauma throughout Northwest Alabama.

Welcome to Cramer, Susanna! 💙💚

When you see statistics, it's easy to focus on whether a number went up or down.

What we see are 357 children who needed help.

We see 685 therapy sessions, 970 victim advocacy services, 357 forensic interviews, 37 medical exams, and more than 2,800 instances of support navigating the criminal justice system.

Each number represents a child who deserved to be heard, protected, and supported.

These services don't happen by accident. They happen because our community continues to invest in children and families through donations, grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.

As we look ahead, your support remains critical. Every child who walks through our doors deserves access to healing services at no cost to their family, and together, we can make sure that promise continues.

Thank you for helping us be there when children need us most.

FLORENCE — The number of children served by Cramer Children's Advocacy Center decreased slightly in 2025.

At Cramer Children's Advocacy Center, we spend a lot of time talking about heroes. Not the kind that wear capes or fly through the sky, but the kind who show up when children need them most. As we wrap up our CYAC member spotlights, we’re excited to introduce the Vice President of Cramer’s Young Advisory Circle, Matthew Vest! 💙

Matthew is a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch, where he helps individuals and families plan for the future through financial planning and multigenerational wealth management. A graduate of the University of North Alabama (2015) and the University of Alabama (2017), Matthew is passionate about investing not only in financial futures but in the future of our community as well.

His commitment to helping children stems from his most important role: being a dad to Micah and Madelyn. Seeing the world through their eyes has deepened his desire to ensure every child has the opportunity to grow up safe, supported, and surrounded by caring adults.

When he's not working or serving through CYAC, you'll likely find Matthew spending time with his family, on the golf course, exercising, or with a good book in hand.

Thank you for being a Cramer Kid Hero, Matthew!

We are incredibly grateful for Matthew’s leadership, heart for service, and dedication to helping children and families across Northwest Alabama. Thank you for helping lead CYAC as we work together to create brighter futures for local kids! 👏
