It was a beautiful evening and approximately 100 community members stopped by to enjoy refreshments, network and socialize with friends and neighbors.

Wow! What an amazing and fun weekend in Florence at the 2026 Wine, Chowder and Float Trail. So many beautiful floats were won, everyone had an amazing time with wonderful foods, wine and shopping.

The evening could not have been more perfect for the Victorian Christmas at Heceta Head Lighthouse. The weather was perfect, the decorations were beautiful, the hot chocolate and hot cider kept you toasty and the homemade cookies were amazing. Young and old sat and enjoyed the music, the stories and the wonderful evening in the Keepers House. Lots of children visiting Santa and playing outside under the lighted tree. Not to forget the Lighthouse was open for visitors as well as the gift shop. Shuttles ran from the parking lot to the front gate so everyone could enjoy the visit without the hike up. Heceta Head Lighthouse Victorian Christmas
Just a reminder that tonight, Dec 13, is Open House at the Heceta Head Lighthouse, from 4-7 PM. Stop by and enjoy cookies and warm beverage and take a tour of the Keeper’s House featuring music and history and the beautiful Victorian decorations.

Thursday evening S&J Custom Jewlers held a Grand Reopening after suffering significant water damage. The store looks amazing, a little more work for final completion however everyone was in good spirits and looking forward to some great holiday shopping. There was amazing food and beverages served and a chance to view all of the amazing sparkling jewlery for the special gifts this holiday.

Florence Holiday Festival was so much fun for kids of all ages as well as those that volunteered. We really appreciated that while the skies were gray, not a drop of rain to spoil the fun. Over 400 balloons were handed out to young and old and Moe’s provided free hot chocolate to fight off the chill. The hayride was enjoyed by all and of course the arrival of Santa.

Celebrating Halloween in a small town is just so special and no other small town does it better than Florence. Old Town was booming, the local businesses jumped right into the thick of things making it fun and exciting for the young and old. There were many activities going on throughout the town and hopefully you were able to participate in the fun. For the Florence Ambassadors, we look forward to the event each year, we have as much fun as the kids. Thanks to Beachcomber for letting us hang out again this year.

Circles in the Sand in Florence, Oregon
If you were unable to make it yesterday, you have another chance today. While the trail is open 5-7, you can come out earlier and watch the amazing sand art being created.
Saturday’s weather was perfect and everyone, including the many pets, had a wonderful time walking through the maze and enjoying the sand art and the weather. Young and old had an amazing time. Thank you goes out to Driftwood Shores for hosting the event as well as the many others who helped to make this a fun and exciting event for all.
