Opening in March, the new Teamsters 89 Northern KY office!

LOCAL 89 OPENS NEW OFFICE IN NORTHERN KENTUCKY

For the past year Local 89 has rented office space in Florence, Kentucky to assist in representing our members at the DHL-CVG Air Hub and as a base of operations for Amazon organizing efforts in the area.

At a General Membership Meeting last year President Avral Thompson spoke about the expense of renting in Florence versus the long term investment of ownership, and the membership unanimously authorized the purchase of a permanent office.

After several months of searching for a location that was the right fit, Local 89 just recently closed on our new Florence office, located at 7000 Houston Road - Suite 42. The office will officially open in early March and will be a phenomenal resource for our Northern Kentucky members and operations.

Open to children of Teamsters 89 union members only!

Scholarship applications for the children of Local 89 members are now available on our website at the following address:

There are three scholarship applications available from Teamsters Local 89, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and the James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Fund. Please read through the rules for each scholarship for their eligibility requirements and deadlines.

Nearly 200 Teamsters 89 members and their families stand together from the DHL sort for a huge Christmas Party! (More photos to come)

-children received toys and had pictures with Santa
-members received a Christmas present and delicious meal of Lasagna, Chicken Monterey, and sides
-several members won great door prizes including a 50 inch American Assembled TV.

What a great night of solidarity and family with our Northern KY Teamsters 89 family.

Space is limited. Teamsters local 89 members are welcome and encouraged to RSVP to ensure enough space and food is available.
