This is definitely getting out of hand. People are clearly fishing from the bridge despite the signage. A kayak has been spotted there and littering is apparent. Frustrations are mounting. DNR and the Sheriff's Department will do nothing. DOT is being contacted for clear safety violations. Children have been spotted on the causeway and are in danger. DSS may need to be called as well. Local attorneys are being consulted.

This is not permitted unless the person has permission. We are working with the Sheriff's Office and the Department of Natural Resources to determine who can issue them a ticket. It is clearly trespassing. In the meantime, please call the non-emergency number 843-669-3911 to report illegal fishing.

Boat ramp beautification. This is the boat ramp halfway down Lakeshore Drive. Finally got an upgrade thanks to Frank McIntyre. The neighbor, Larry and Wilma Matthews, is allowing us to use their water to keep everything alive. Thank you. It all looks great. We will now work on the inside, smoothing out the path to the water. Brandon Stepp is helping with this.
