We loved hearing from the American Red Cross today! They shared information with us about their emergency assistance program and blood storage/collection efforts. March is Red Cross Month! You can reach out to your local Red Cross to see how you can help and volunteer. March 25th is also Giving Day. Join others on this day by donating!

Florence West Rotary along with Phil Wellman participated in Sharing Grace today.

Mr. Wellman returned to SC following the tragic accident of his wife Grace one year ago today and joined us today in Sharing Grace. Several of the officers that responded to the traffic accident were able to be in attendance and are seen here with Mr. Wellman.

The healthy snack project has now expanded to all of Rotary International District 7770 with February 11th being Sharing Grace Day! Each club within eastern South Carolina is tasked with providing healthy snacks to their local first responders as a small way to say thank you to the real heroes in our world.

Yesterday we had the honor of having lunch and a tour at Otis Elevator here in Florence! The tour was given by one of our own, Meko Hughes! This was a great experience and we learned so much. Thank you Meko and Otis for having us!

We have had a busy few weeks for our club! Last week, we had our quarterly “Sharing Grace” donation to our local sheriffs office. We also heard from Nicole Griggs and Heather Spaulding from Foster Care Clothing Closet!

We had a great day celebrating the end of another Rotary year with our annual change of officers! Samantha Alexis Stone was inducted as our President-Elect and was also awarded Rotarian of the Year. In true fashion, our witty president Daniel Jordan created some additional superlatives to award to our club members. Zoom in on each certificate for a laugh!
