NAME: “GUNNER”
ROLE: WEBMASTER
CHAPTER: MA 2-3

SERVICE RECORD

BRANCH: U.S. Air Force
MOS: Security Forces
SPECIALTY: Point 50 Cal Gunner. Uber security with machine guns.

MOTORPOOL

BIKE: 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan S
NEXT RIDE: Harley 114
RIDING SINCE:
Y2K. Back when gas was cheap, knees didn't make noise, and when Motrin was optional.
FAVORITE RIDE:
Where there are no people. If I can get lost on a back road with my wife and accidentally turn a two hour ride into a six hour land navigation training.
TYPE OF FUEL
Spite, profanity, and aggressively stalking veterans to make sure they file their VA claims.

WHY CVMA
I missed the occasional chaos that comes from putting veterans in one place and giving them a mission. I tried riding with civilians, but they stop for things like comfort and common sense. I wanted to be in a group of combat veterans who understand tactical maneuvering, dark humor, and the occasional irrational level of rage. I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself again. VETS HELPING VETS is a mission I care about. As the recruiter promised: “It will be fun.”

WHY WEBMASTER
In the Air Force, we use our brains. Technology has always come naturally to me. I enjoy building things, solving problems, and making sure our chapter gets recognized as the high speed individuals with disabilities that we are.

PERSONALITY PROFILE
Resting ***** face
Side eye and knife hands
Inappropriate humor at inappropriate times
Being the smallest guy in the room somehow carrying the most rage
Helping veterans get the benefits they earned
“GET YOUR CLAIM, CALL THE VA, YOU EARNED IT.”

MOTTO
"Are you connected with a VA claim yet?"
"Nothing motivates me more than being told I can't do something."

ROLE: TREASURER
CHAPTER: MA 2-3

SERVICE RECORD

BRANCH: U.S. Army
MOS: Military Police
SPECIALTY: Professional babysitter for grown adults with bad decisions and government funding.

MOTOR POOL

BIKE: 2024 Road Glide
RIDING SINCE: 2013
FAVORITE RIDE: All of them. Two wheels and throttle therapy usually fix at least 83% of life’s problems.

WHY CVMA

“Missed the camaraderie, the dark humor, and being around people who understand the chaos without needing a 45 minute explanation. Good people helping veterans while talking trash like it’s a competitive sport.”

WHY TREASURER

“Voluntold. Just kidding… Mostly. I’d take any position to help the chapter and organization, and Treasurer happened to be the mission available. Somebody’s gotta keep track of the crayons and beer money.” 😂

PERSONALITY PROFILE

Calm, collected, and suspiciously sarcastic
Can spot bad decisions from tactical distances
Believes motorcycles are cheaper than therapy
Smiles like a nice guy… probably judging your parking job internally.

Veteran level sarcasm
Keeping things squared away
Road Glide addiction
Looking responsible while enabling chapter shenanigans

In honor of Glen “SAULTYDOG” Sault

A Navy Veteran, brother, rider, and a proud member of CVMA® MA 2-1.

Glen passed away doing what he loved most… Riding free with the wind at his back and the road ahead of him. While the loss still weighs heavy, the memories, laughter, stories, and miles shared together will never fade.

In 2025, we gathered for a beautiful celebration of his life. This video is a tribute to that day, to the family, the respect, and the love shown for a man who touched so many lives both on and off the road.

Fair winds and following seas, SAULTYDOG. Your watch may be over, but your ride lives on through all of us.

We invite everyone who knew Glen to share a favorite memory, photo, or story in the comments. Please also share this video so his family, friends, and loved ones can see just how many lives he impacted.
