We will begin a six-week video curriculum this Wednesday night June 15 at 6:30 p.m. At the core of Christianity is our personal relationship with Jesus. In this curriculum, we will dive into the difference between religion and relationship. We will look at how to foster our relationship with God, and how to receive the love that God has for us. The speakers work hard to build an excitement and a joy around growing in relationship with Jesus, rather than a burden or a “to-do” list of religious duties. They also address some of the hard work that goes into relationship if we really want to see a relationship grow.

This curriculum was developed by Justin Burton, a graduate of Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in Redding, CA, and currently serves as the Youth & Young Adult Pastor at The Barn Vineyard Church in Landenberg, PA.

We are having an end of school party next Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. We will gather as usual and then walk over to Vertilla Pizza and eat together. After the adult service next Wednesday, there is an informational meeting about the Motion Conference on July 28-30 in Birmingham. Tonight’s lesson was about fear and how to deal with fear God’s way. We played a fear factor for game and Zander won “hands” down.

We had fun talking about our choices and self-control. Each team got to choose ten bags without looking inside and then the team had to eat everything that was in their bags. They had to live with their choices!

We will learn how they heard the call to missions and about the people in the countries where they minister. We'll see interesting things from around the world and maybe even taste some international foods!

Tonight we begin our study on The Armor of God. Each student will have a workbook to use during the lessons and during the week. I’d love to talk to any parents who are available about 6:15 p.m. tonight to help you be equipped to help your child with this study. I believe this study will help students learn to pray more effectively and be more victorious in their walk with God.
