Move-In Dates:
FRESHMAN/NEW STUDENT
• Thursday, August 19 (9:00am-6:00pm by appointment only)
• Friday, August 20 (9:00am-6:00pm by appointment only)
ALL STUDENTS
• Saturday, August 21 (9:00am-6:00pm by appointment only)
• Sunday, August 22 (9:00am-6:00pm by appointment only)

Each student will have two-hours to move their belongings in to their space. While there will be volunteers to help with Freshman/New Student Move-In on Thursday (8/19) and Friday (8/20), all students are encouraged to bring family and helpers with them to ease the process.

Upon arrival to campus, please follow the signs to the Housing Office Breezeway (in the back of the Housing Office) to check-in and receive your keys. At check-in, you will receive further information on the move-in process.

Note: Students and Visitors must follow all FMU protocols/guidelines while on campus. Individuals who are not vaccinated are encouraged to wear a mask or face covering while at FMU.

As the COVID situation continues to evolve, we are implementing a few procedures to ensure the safety and protection of all residential students.

Move-in Information
At check-in, all residential students will be asked to:
1. Present proof of a negative COVID test result taken within three days; or
2. Take a COVID antigen test onsite (15 minutes); or
3. Voluntarily submit proof of having been fully vaccinated; or
4. Voluntarily submit proof of having had COVID within the last 150 days.

General Information
All residence halls will have reduced occupancy, and the large common areas will be cleaned systematically.
1. The use of a mask or face coverings is recommended indoors in group settings.
2. Social Distancing is strongly encouraged to the extent possible.
3. Hand washing and use of hand sanitizer is strongly encouraged.

Guest/Visitor policy
Out of concern for the safety of our campus community, the following visitation policies will be in effect for the fall 2021 semester. Please note that changes in conditions could result in a lessening or strengthening of measures to safeguard residents.
1. Residents will be permitted to host visitors between the hours of 6:00am-11:00pm.
2. Overnight guests are prohibited.

• All students MUST check out of their living space and depart campus within 24 hours of their last final exam (exception: Graduating Seniors, or students assisting with graduation who have been approved by Housing to stay)
o Ex: If your last final exam is on Monday, May 3rd, you have 24 hours to depart from campus and must checkout by May 4th.

• Graduating Seniors, and students assisting with graduation MUST check out of their living space and depart campus NO LATER THAN 4:00pm on Saturday, May 8th.

• Check Out Locations/Times:
o Monday-Friday (9:00am – 5:00pm): Housing Office
o Monday-Friday (After 5:00pm): Call your Residential Area’s RA-On-Duty
