Transforming the World, One Creative Moment at a Time...
Serene Abundance Studio Space (SASS) is a labor of love, and the realization of a dream.
Its mission is to promote the powers of healing and inspiration through creativity. Its vision is to provide open access to people in the community and region- no matter who they are- to an ongoing program of exhibitions, events, classes/workshops, groups, and open studio space that help provide examples of this mission, as well as a place to teach, share and learn about these topics.
To be “Serene” is to experience a state of grace, a peaceful and yet flexible, unshakeable resiliency. To have “Abundance” is to have more than enough. “Serene Abundance Magic” describes living in the knowledge, wisdom and faith that we already possess the answers we seek, and that we have more than enough resources to go around for everyone- all we need to is reach within, without, and share what we discover.
The values informing the Studio’s vision and mission include the concept that healing does not “belong” to anyone; rather, it is a principle and a practice that should be offered to those most in need. We believe that healing through free expression, culture-making, and creative problem-solving is the most efficient, effective way to identify and resolve some of today’s most complex and seemingly unsolvable problems- at the personal, relational, community, national and world levels. As a method of healing physical, emotional, relational and psychological ills, creativity has been used in traditional societies for thousands of years- and is now being proven in today’s world through study after study, in fields from psychology, to neurobioimmunology, to alternative healing, and more.
