🧡🥊 FIGHTING & KNOCKING OUT CANCER! 🥊🧡

Crossroads Community Outreach was proud to participate in Rock the Block, hosted by Kaytrina P. Simmons Florence City Council-President, District 1

Our organization set up in support of ALL cancer survivors, those currently fighting cancer, and the families and loved ones affected by this disease. Our mission was to promote cancer awareness, encourage early detection through regular screenings, and connect individuals with valuable resources and support.

🧡 This event was also especially meaningful as we honored and supported our Founder & Executive Director, DrKimberly Jackson, who was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) in May 2024.

Despite her own cancer journey, Dr. Jackson continues to lead, serve, and make a difference in the lives of others. Her strength, faith, resilience, and commitment to the community remind us that a cancer diagnosis does not have to define one's purpose. God has the final word!

🥊 Our Theme: FIGHTING & KNOCKING OUT CANCER!

We believe that early detection saves lives, awareness creates hope, and no one should have to fight cancer alone!

To every survivor, every fighter, every caregiver, and every family remembering a loved one lost to cancer — WE STAND WITH YOU! 🧡

Together, we fight. Together, we support. Together, we bring hope!

TRAIL OF TEARS MOTORCYCLE RIDE MAP

The Trail of Tears Commemorative Motorcycle Ride is Saturday, September 19, and hundreds of motorcycles are expected to travel through the Shoals along the historic route.

We’re sharing the Trail of Tears route map so everyone can see where the ride will travel through Florence and, more importantly, where motorists should expect traffic impacts.

🚦 As the motorcycles make their way through Florence, several intersections will be temporarily blocked to allow the large group of riders to pass safely. This means traffic may stop unexpectedly and delays are likely.

Please be patient, watch for motorcycles and follow the direction of officers working traffic control.

🏍️ MOTORCYCLISTS 🏍

🚧 Pay close attention to Florence Blvd/Highway 72. Construction is still underway along Florence Boulevard/US-72. Motorists should expect uneven lanes.

➡ Because of the construction near the O’Neal Bridge, motorcycles will turn South onto Mitchell Boulevard from Veterans Drive and then go West on Savannah Highway towards Waterloo Road.

🚚 Happy Driver Appreciation Week!

Before food reaches a pantry or a family in need, it must be transported. Each week, our drivers and operations team distribute food across North Alabama, connecting our warehouses with agency partners in 11 counties. This week, we celebrate everyone who plays a role in ending hunger, especially those driving and supporting hunger relief efforts daily.

To our drivers and operations team: thank you for everything you do! 🧡

If you missed it, they will be in Birmingham next!
💪🏿❤️
📢 COME OUT AND SUPPORT!

Ms Roland is a Veteran, mother, family member, friend, and Certified Peer Specialist, She knows that people can be carrying things inside that nobody else can see. This year, she also lost a friend to su***de, which made this mission even more personal for her!

We need to talk about mental health. We need to check on each other. And most importantly, we need people to know that it is okay to ask for help. You do not have to carry everything alone.

Please come out, walk with us, support the cause, and help us remember those we have lost.
