Welcome to Florence, the center of what is commonly called the "P*e Dee Region." Florence, chartered in 1871 and incorporated in 1890, was named after Florence Henning Harllee, the daughter of General William W. Harllee, first president of the Wilmington and Manchester Railroad. Florence, the same city that was founded as a railroad town, is now a bustling center of industry, healthcare, education

, retail, culture and recreation. In Florence, you'll find that there is something for everyone. From shopping malls, such as Magnolia Mall and the Florence Mall to the fine restaurants and entertainment venue's, to the many parks and cultural events, Florence prides itself on on being one of the best livable and affordable communities in South Carolina. Transportation is a major advantage for business and industry, not only in Florence, but also around the world. Florence has a major switching yard for CSX Railroad, and direct rail service to two major seaports in Charleston, S.C., and Wilmington, N.C.The city is strategically located at the intersection of two main thoroughfares, I-95 and I-20, and is also located near several other main highways, which allow for quicker travel for residents and visitors. The Florence Regional Airport provides daily commercial connections to the world through American Airlines direct to Charlotte. When it comes to healthcare, Florence provides its residents with top-notch healthcare facilities that meet the needs of local residents, as well as the residents of surrounding communities. McLeod Health and MUSC of Florence Hospital System provide Florence and the seven county P*e Dee area with professional, round the clock, award winning healthcare, technology and service. The opportunities for academic excellence thrive in Florence. There are numerous elementary and secondary schools, both private and public, which provide quality education opportunities. Francis Marion University, Florence-Darlington Technical College and the Southeastern Institute for Manufacturing Technology provide exceptional academic facilities for post secondary education. The Governor's School for Science and Mathematics, which selects gifted students from throughout the state for a challenging, residential high school program and The International Baccalaureate program at Wilson High School, call this area home. The opportunities for cultural events, the arts and entertainment abound in Florence. With a local community theater, local plays showcase community talent throughout the year. The appreciation of the arts abounds in Florence with the South Carolina Dance Theatre, the Florence Symphony Orchestra and Masterworks Choir. Additionally, area schools and colleges provide numerous cultural opportunities for local audiences. The 10,000-seat Florence Center is host for all kinds of excitement and variety in Florence. New to downtown are the homes of the Florence Little Theater and the Francis Marion University Performing Arts Center. Florence also offers baseball fans Carolina Bank Field, home of the Coastal Plain League Flamingos. The ballpark seating capacity is 1,372 and includes Suite Club seating behind home plate, The ballpark is part of the larger Florence Sports Complex which includes five other baseball fields and a NCAA caliber track and field complex. The weather of Florence allows for a higher quality of life for residents by giving them the opportunity for outdoor recreation year round. Lovers of the outdoors truly appreciate the many scenic parks, lakes, rivers and creeks in the P*e Dee region. Golf enthusiasts welcome the traditional Southern climate, which gives them the opportunity for year round play on some of the outstanding courses that call the Florence area home. And, if you are a fan of NASCAR, you will certainly want to visit the excitement at the nearby Darlington Raceway during national race weeks and at the NASCAR museum. While Florence County residents enjoy some of the lowest property taxes in South Carolina, they appreciate the gracious lifestyle and affordable housing options located throughout town. With all the advantages of a growing metropolis but with the charm of Southern hospitality, the Greater Florence area blends rural, suburban, commercial and industrial advantages for the 125,000+ lucky people who have chosen to call our community home. Kaylea and Wade Holt, owners of Lincoln's Brews, along with Chamber Ambassadors, join the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce with their ribbon cutting of their new permanent location in Florence.

This marks a major milestone for a business built on coffee, community, and a whole lot of heart. Founded by Wade and Kaylea Holt in February 2023, Lincoln’s Brews began as a passion project and a desire to create something meaningful for the community. What started as one mobile coffee shop serving at Eats on the Creek, local festivals, and surrounding areas quickly grew into a recognizable local brand. As the brand continued to grow, the Holts added a second mobile unit.

Slowing down was never part of the plan. As Lincoln’s Brews continued to expand, the Holts began looking toward the next step for the business: a permanent home. On Monday, May 25, Lincoln’s Brews officially opened its first permanent location at 474 2nd Loop Road in Florence. The new location allows the business to better serve its growing customer base with a convenient drive-thru experience, expanded drink options, new food items available all day, and the same upbeat service customers have come to know and love.

Lincoln’s Brews is known for being more than just coffee. The menu includes espresso drinks, frappes, lemonades, refreshers, smoothies, boba, and more, making it a one-stop shop for customers looking for handcrafted beverages and quick bites. “We’re excited to serve our community in a new way with new food items and drink options,” said Wade and Kaylea Holt. “We stand behind the quality of drinks we serve, and we are so grateful for the support that has brought us to this point.”

For the LB team, the business has always been about more than what is served in a cup. It is about creating a friendly, welcoming experience where customers feel appreciated and excited to come back. From mobile stops and festival to its first permanent location, Lincoln’s Brews looks forward to continuing to grow, serve, and pour into the Florence community.

Lincoln’s Brews 474 2nd Loop Road, Business Hours: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. They can also be reached on Facebook Lincoln's Brews and Instagram www.instagram.com/lincolnsbrews
