This may be one of the shortest voicemails I’ve received, but if speaks volumes… This is what our program is about. Through the collaboration through the years from Mclaurin High School, Tigers for Life, The Spot Downtown A Rankin County School District Program, Project Search Mississippi - UMMC Rankin County School District, and his family, this young man is starting a new job with the future ahead of him! Dylan we are all so very proud of you!

Scarlett, we are so proud of you!!!

Mrs.Herd is so excited to announce the" Artist of the Month” for September to Scarlett King. She earned "Artist of the Month" for her compassion and leadership skills shown in art. She personally stopped working on her lesson to assist another student that was absent to help explain the process of the lesson they were currently working on. She checked on the student from time to time to make sure the student was working correctly and did not have any questions. This stood out to Mrs.Herd and how Scarlett placed her peers' needs over hers and wanted to give the student instructions to best help. Her artist statement: I love art because I can help my friends and be in my favorite class. She receives art supplies, candy ,and in May she will have the opportunity to win” The Golden Paintbrush Award. .Congratulations to Scarlett!! 💛💚

🐯💙 We’ve been VERY busy here in Tigers for L.I.F.E. country!

We’ve been so busy learning, working, creating, and making memories that we haven’t done a very good job of sharing pictures lately. So here’s a little photo dump of some of the things happening around our department!

There’s always something going on in Tigers for L.I.F.E., and we wouldn’t have it any other way! 🐯❤️

Learning Independence and Furthering our Education, one busy day at a time!

🎉 Homecoming Week is almost here! 🎉

We have been BUSY in both of our Tigers for L.I.F.E. classes getting ready for MHS Homecoming Week, September 14–18! The students have been helping prepare decorations, working on projects, and getting everything ready for a fun week of school spirit. 💚💛

There are lots of opportunities for students to participate in the fun:

• Monday: Pirates vs. Mermaids
• Tuesday: Birds of a Feather Day
• Wednesday: Dress for the Wrong Occasion
• Thursday: Carnival Parade Day
• Friday: Tiger Spirit Day, wear your GREEN & GOLD!

The Homecoming Parade & Community Pep Rally will be Thursday evening at 6:00, and the Homecoming football game is Friday night at 7:00 against West Lincoln.

We are excited for our students to be part of the festivities and can’t wait to see all their Homecoming spirit! 🐯💚💛

I’ll attach the Homecoming flyer below with all of the details, including the dance information. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us.
