Thank you to all the swimmers, coaches and volunteers that made Saturday's FSSL Championship Swim Meet and the 2026 summer league season a success!! Our swimmers worked very hard this year! Congratulations to our overall champion Sumter Aquatics Center Stingrays and to our overall runner up Mcleod Mako Sharks. Congratulations to our quality points champion Hartsville Hammerheads.

Finally, congratulations to our individual swimmer high points champions! Click on the pictures to see names and rankings in the picture captions. We are looking forward to another great FSSL season next summer! Great job to all swimmers!

Florence District One Swimming:
• All rising 7th – 12th graders in South Florence, West Florence and Wilson Zones
• Parent/Athlete Meeting Thursday, July 30th @ 5:30pm McLeod Health & Fitness Patio
• Season begins Monday, August 3rd
o Practices Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays – 6pm – 7:30pm Country Club of South Carolina (CCSC) and Wednesdays 6:30pm-8:30pm Florence YMCA
• Eight Meet Season before STATE Meet on the 9th or 10th of October
• Must be cleared in Arbiter for the High School the swimmer is zoned (link to Arbiter):

Meet the swim coach from the Hartsville YMCA: Logan! Logan has been coaching for HYMCA for 1.5 years. He just graduated from Florence Darlington Technical College with his electrician certification. The coolest thing Logan has done in the last 12 months is travel to Lynchburg, VA to coach his team at the YMCA Regional Swim Meet!

Meet the swim coaches from Sumter Aquatics Center: Leila, Jack & Anthony!

This summer will be Leila's first season coaching for SAC's bronze team. She is currently a rising senior at the University of South Carolina where she is studying biology. The coolest thing Leila has done in the last 12 months is snowboard in Colorado!

Jack has coached for SAC's silver team for 2 years. He is a rising sophomore at the Citadel studying Business and Supply Management and minoring in French. The coolest thing Jack has done in the last 12 months is successfully complete & survive k**b year at the Citadel!

Anthony has coached for SAC's gold team for 2 years. He just earned his Associates in Science Degree and will be transferring to the University of South Carolina Aiken where he will study Psychology in the fall. The coolest thing he has done in the last 12 months is squat 515 pounds!

Meet the swim coaches from Mcleod Health & Fitness Center: Isabelle & Haig!

Isabelle has been a MHFC coach for 5 years. She is a rising senior at Francis Marion University where she is studying Nursing. The coolest thing Isabelle has done in the last 12 months is travel to several exciting vacation destinations!

This summer will be Haig's first season coaching for MHFC. He is a rising junior at Francis Marion University, where he is double majoring in Economics & Supply Chain Management. The coolest thing he has done in the last 12 months was visit Disneyland this week before the summer league season officially begins!

Meet the swim coach from Country Club of South Carolina: Morgan! Morgan has been coaching CCSC now for 3 years. She plans to attend Clemson University as a freshman this fall where she will study Health Sciences. One of the coolest things Morgan has done in the last 12 months was travel to Aruba, where she got to enjoy amazing views and unforgettable experiences!
