Power of Florence The Power of Florence is a proclaimed city-wide day dedicated to volunteering and giving back. Hello Florence! What will you do to give back? BE COUNTED!!

Giavanna has been given the honor to continue the work Ava has done with Power of FlOreNcE, which was started by Kaylee in 2011. This year will mark the twelfth Power of FlOreNcE day, July 22, 2023. It is a day dedicated to giving back and making a difference in our community. Giavanna is excited to follow in Ava and Kaylee’s footsteps and carrying on encouraging people to dedicate just one day to

volunteering together to show what power WE have when we work side by side to help others. Park Clean-up, Beautifying a Walking Trail, Helping an Elderly neighbor in their yard, collecting clothing for Siuslaw Outreach Center or Food for Florence Food Share, raising money for Habitat for Humanity or Humane Society, a hamburger or pancake fundraiser, etc, etc.... LET YOUR IMAGINATION RUN! How many in Florence will be?

Florence Habitat for Humanity is partnering with Abby’s Pizza of Florence, Oregon!

Our summer reading program starts tomorrow!! This year's theme is "Plant a Seed, Read". Throughout June and July, we'll have fun programs and activities for all ages, from babies to adults. Kids in Mapleton and Siuslaw schools will get a bag with a summer reading packet (and a free book!) at school. For everyone else--including adults--stop by the library starting June 1 to sign up for this free program.
