As we begin wrapping up Session #4 of our Rebel Readers Reading Group, The Alchemist continues to get more and more interesting!

This powerful book has created some great conversations with our students about discovering their own dreams, setting goals, overcoming obstacles, and finding purpose in their personal journeys. It has been exciting to watch our students make meaningful connections between Santiago’s story and their own lives.

👏 This week’s Rebel Reader Award goes to Savannah Trout!

🩺🔬 Dr. James E. Randolph Initiative – NKU Medical College Visit

Today, 14 of our students had an incredible opportunity to step into the world of healthcare through the Dr. James E. Randolph Initiative!

This experience introduced our students to medical careers through hands-on, interactive activities led by university faculty and medical students. From engaging science demonstrations to learning about college pathways, our group truly got a firsthand look at what it takes to pursue a future in medicine.

The students absolutely loved their time on campus and walked away inspired, motivated, and excited about the possibilities ahead!

A huge thank you to Dr. Michael P. Guy and the NKU medical staff for providing such an outstanding tour and meaningful hands-on experience.

We appreciate the continued partnership and the impact this program is making on our students’ futures!

Thank you so much, Erin Peterson! 💙
We truly appreciate you coming out and talking with our junior and senior ladies. They are so excited to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Cinderella’s Closet and to be part of something so special.

Helping our young ladies connect with beautiful prom dresses and all the accessories that make the experience fun and memorable means more than you know.

We’re incredibly grateful for everything you and Cinderella’s Closet NKY do for our students and our community. ✨👗

A Huge Thank You to Dr. Michael Guy & UK College of Medicine Students!

Today our Boone County High School students had an incredible opportunity to learn from real leaders in the medical and science fields. We want to extend our deepest appreciation to Dr. Michael P. Guy, Director of the NKU Pre-Medical Pathways Program and Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Northern Kentucky University, for bringing the Dr. James E. Randolph Initiative to BCHS.

Our students heard directly from UK College of Medicine students, who shared their journeys, challenges, study habits, and what it truly takes to pursue a future in the medical field. Their honesty, encouragement, and passion made a powerful impact on our young people.

🩺 Students explored:
• Hands-on medical & science demonstrations
• College pathways into healthcare and medicine
• Career opportunities across the health sciences
• Real-world advice from NKU faculty & UK medical students

This type of experience opens doors for our students, helping them see themselves in careers they may have never imagined. We are extremely grateful for this partnership and for everyone who invests in the next generation of doctors, nurses, scientists, and healthcare leaders.

Thank you, Dr. Guy, NKU faculty, and the UK College of Medicine students, for inspiring our future medical professionals!
