Transhealth strongly condemns a newly released Trump Administration rule which targets healthcare access for trans youth, young trans adults, and their families who rely on Medicaid and CHIP.

We need our patients to know this. The rule will not change the evidence-based, medically necessary healthcare Transhealth provides.

The Governor and state Legislature have boldly created the Affirming Health Care Trust Fund and funded it thus far with $8.5 million. If the rule is implemented, the state has committed that it will continue to cover gender-affirming care for those affected, including office visits, prescriptions, and required lab work.

Trans people will not be erased. Transhealth will continue to care for our communities and fight for a world in which all people have a right to healthcare and bodily autonomy.

Transhealth is deeply proud to receive a $75,000 earmark in the Massachusetts state budget.

These funds will go directly to our security and infrastructure to make sure we are able to provide gender-affirming healthcare for our patients as safely as possible. In the current political landscape, investments like these are critical to protecting trans and gender-diverse communities.

We want to extend a terrific thank you to House Ways and Means Chairman Aaron Michlewitz for including this priority funding and State Representative Mindy Domb for her leadership in introducing and sponsoring this earmark. We also want to thank House Speaker Ronald Mariano, State Rep. Lindsey Sabadosa, Rep. Sam Montaño, and all of our co-sponsors, as well as the Healey-Driscoll Administration for their allyship and advocacy on behalf of Transhealth. We are tremendously grateful to receive this support!

The Massachusetts State Legislature has invested $7.5 million in the Affirming Health Care Trust Fund as a part of the recently signed state budget. These funds bring the Affirming Health Care Trust Fund to a total of $8.5 million.

This investment is vital to ensuring that gender-affirming care remains accessible in Massachusetts. As federal attacks seek to severely restrict gender-affirming care across the country, these funds are critical in protecting trans and gender-diverse people.

We would like to extend a tremendous thank you to our state legislators in the House and Senate, Governor Healey, and all of our advocates fighting for trans lives across the state who made this possible. The Affirming Health Care Trust Fund is a lifeline to our communities here in Massachusetts.

The U.S. Supreme Court is wrong on trans women and girls in sports.

Transhealth stands with trans athletes and strongly condemns yesterday’s U.S. Supreme Court Decision allowing states to ban trans women and girls from participating in school sports.

“To every trans woman and girl reading this, know that you belong, and Transhealth will never stop fighting for your right to be who you are and to be everywhere you want to be in the world.”
