This we honor Lance Corporal Richard A. Anderson of the United States Marine Corps. LCpl Anderson was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his extraordinary bravery during a mission northwest of Cam Lo, Vietnam.

While under heavy enemy fire in dense jungle terrain, a gr***de landed near his fellow Marines. Without hesitation, LCpl Anderson pulled it to his chest and absorbed the blast, sacrificing his life to same those around him. His selfless act prevented further casualties and exemplified the highest traditions of service and sacrifice.

Today, we honor his courage and remember his ultimate act of love for his brothers in arms. 🇺🇸

Deputy J. Miller is back and ready for everything this school year has in store at Cotopaxi School and Fremont County Head Start!
If you see Deputy Miller in the halls or around campus, be sure to say hi!
(We’ve already warned him that most of the kids aren’t too eager to share their snacks. 😄)

We wouldn't grow or survive without distinguished members. Our hats off to Mr. Paul Villagranna, Navy Vet, past commander of Post 25 and still a worker. Paul and Ms. Gayle Mackinnon have given hundreds of hours refurbishing the red white and blue stakes used to mark the graves of Florence area veterans in the Union Highlands cemetery. Thank you for the service to our organization and community.
